September 18, 2019 - After a short break, the MX-5 Cup Series met at Donington Park for Race 7 of the season. With a field of 15 cars making the trip, it was Paul Darling who would take the pole over series points leader JT Tami. As the green flag fell, Darling and Tami would push out front, with newcomer Mitchell Peake moving from 5th to 2nd by the end of Lap 2. The three of them would pull away from the rest of the pack, with several drivers encountering problems behind them, although Brian Szebelski would remain in sight of the front three for most of the race. With a few laps to go, Peake would fall back and lose third to Szebelski on the penultimate lap, while Darling pulled away from Tami up front and take the win by 17 seconds. Brutal NARS GT3 Race at Crystal Palace

September 12, 2019 - Brutal. That's the keyword for the NARS Summer Series racing Thursday night. Racing at the throwback track, Crystal Palace proved to be a ruckus with the majority of the grid encountering major repairs in the pits or an outright DNF from damage. It started with the 15-minute qualifying race, won by Group A driver Don Fryman who ran out of gas at the finish and Group B first time winning driver, Paul Ibbotson. In the feature 45-minute race, it was very frequent podium finisher Greg Hall taking the win in Group A once again. Don Fryman looked to be the winner until an errant fuel calculation ran his Corvette dry. He commented to winner Greg Hall, "I knew I was in trouble when I saw you duck into the pits behind me." Behind Greg was Norm Graf followed by Jon Uyan. Group B has a > more

CMS-TXL GT3 Series at Catalunya GP

September 11, 2019 - After a short break, the CMS-TXL GT3 Series headed to the newest venue available, Catalunya, and a first time series winner. Angel Ledesma took the pole position, and would start out front with Humberto Roca on the front row beside him. Up front, the Pro drivers would mix with the front running AM class drivers for most of the race, and in the end it was a mixed overall podium. Miguel Alcrudo would take his first ever overall race win at CMS with a remarkable pace. Second place overall was also the AM class winner,. Lowesky D'Oleo, who also managed his car and tires throughout the event. Leif Peterson finished in third place overall and second in the Pro class, and Kris Hudson using a different tire strategy would drive back up through the field to take the third podium in the Pro class. NARS Flatsix Visits Crystal Palace

September 5, 2019 - Another new track for this group and another one that is tight and fast making a clean pass almost impossible. With lap times under one minute there was no time to even catch your breath. Tire wear issues would again scuffle the field with those that got it figured out moving to the front. After 60 minutes we would again see Greg Hall lead Group A across the the finish line followed by Jason Whited and Don Fryman. A nice welcome to new arrival and first time winner goes to Group B Mark Cotherman with Frank Radosti and Tom Nasella following him home. The NARS Summer Series has just 4 races left in the long 24 race season. Results

CMS-TXL MX-5 Series at Sarthe

August 28, 2019 - For the sixth race of the season, the CMS-TXL MX-5 Cup Series took to the historic streets of Circuit de la Sarthe, and pushed the Mazda Miatas to their limits over the 8-mile circuit. Qualifying ended with 16 cars on the grid, led by Miguel Antonio Alcrudo, who was joined on the front row by Greg Mac, and points leader JT Tami right behind them. The start was fast and frenzied, but clean as the front six fell in line and tried to break away from the rest of the pack. With only 8 laps to race, the push to the front eventually separated the front three from the rest of the field. A final lap battle, with side by side racing in the Porsche Curves, ended with Alcrudo taking the win by a mere 0.379 seconds over Scott, with Tami right on his bumper. > more

NARS Summer Series – Flatsix Round 6

August 22, 2019 – Well it’s been a very trying week for rFactor2 Admins. First, the scheduled track (Barber) would not work with the latest version of rF2 requiring a track change. Then a round of updates from S397 broke more things than they fixed. Finally, on the morning of the race S397 released an update that would allow us to get the race in but the crew at S397 still have some bugs to fix. > more

Celica GTO at Val de Vienne

August 20, 2019 - Val de Vienne proved itself a tough venue for all and claimed many victims. All the while, Joe Miller continued to prove he is untouchable during the 7th race of the 1987 Celica GTO International Tour. Brette Brooks came away with an impressive 2nd place finish. Rounding out the podium, Frank Radosti proved he could run near the front with an valiant 3rd place run that also rewarded him with a nice victory in the Seniors Championship. Results

NARS Summer Series – GT3 Round 5

August 15, 2019 – Show up last to finish first, that’s how JT Tami handles things. With real life responsibilities keeping JT from joining the server until the last minute of warmup, I asked if he would like for warmup to be restarted, only to hear “no, give me 30 seconds to make my setup and we’re good to go”. This was also JT’s first win in the Summer Series so a good night for him! Frank Radosti got his first win in the series taking the podium in Group B. > more

CMSRC S1E3 – Poland

August 11, 2019 – Event #3 is history, and it was a challenging one! Let’s have a look at what the pure results tell us… 32 cars lined up for Rally Poland at Jagodno but only 20 saw the finish when returning to Jagodno. Everyone finished the first stage with a difference from 45s from P1 to P32. The second stage already saw 2 cars going out, Rallye_Co_Pilot_87 and Riggs, the only A-Sport member this time. Magnar’s PC had a CTD (Crash to Desktop) why he got no time for that stage. He had several CTD afterwards but finished the rally on 4 wheels – unfortunately he’ll be counted as a DNF. Torwith and Crazymotors joined the party of Non-finishers during stage 4, the last short stage before the first service park. > more

Baldwin Wins at GingerMan

August 8, 2019 - A new track for the NARS Thursday night group, GingerMan Raceway. The Porsche's (errr, Flatsix) Cup cars went at it for the 60 minute race. Jason Whited took the poll spot, and held the lead in Group A for the first half of the race, then Adam Baldwin charged ahead. At the finish behind Adam was Greg Hall and Norm Graf. In Group B, Bill Brehm returned to grab the win from the points leader Brian Hall. Taking third was Derek Steffeck. Results

CMSRC S1E2 – Sweden

August 7, 2019 - The A-Sport team was on top once again with a 1-2 finish in snowy Sweden! Bombast1k took the top spot and a big 5 stage wins with teammate Riggs taking second, both piloting Ford Fiestas. Third on the podium was Wolfsmind in the Mitsubishi. A difficult rally for 1KorteX1 meant Bombast1k and Riggs moved ahead into the top 2 spots of the standings, with 1KorteX1 not far behind in third. Even with a challenging location, there was significantly less attrition this round with 74% of drivers able to finish all 12 stages. Results Standings After Round 2 Full Stage Results

CMSRC S1E1 – Argentina

August 7, 2019 - 37 cars rolled out for the start and already 6 didn’t see the finish of stage 1! Magnar (who is freakin fast but struggles with PC problems ever since there is Dirt Rally), Xsaros & Torwith (Fast guys but wait, wasn’t there a bridge…) and RallyManic1964. Kitakaze and pearlo81 complete the list of DNF’s for stage 1. On stage 2 only Russelcubs joined the group before the drivers calmed down until stage 6, when Huillaprima forced forum-members svt4cam and Roy Magnes to their knees. Biggest surprise was the DNF of Galvalao, member of esports team A-Sport, as he led the event by nearly 18s after the previous stage and winning the first five stages. So we should attest him that he always drove at the limits – great drive so far mate! San Isidro saw all starters finish before Ledesma set a DNF on stage > more

CMS-TXL GT3s at Barber

August 7, 2019 – This week, the CMS-TXL GT3 series took on Barber Motorsports Park for the fifth race of the season, marking the halfway point. The 29 car field took the start with Humberto Roca leading the field, followed closely by Victor Tanaka. The AM class was led by Marco Calabi, and Christopher Rines led the Silver class at the start. The 75-minute race took it’s toll on many, as this tight circuit combined with minimal run-offs led to more than a few bent fenders. > more

ACC Takes on Nurburgring at Night

August 5, 2019 - This race was the first of two 30-minute sprints. It was a very dark night but the Nurburgring course provides an ample amount of light visibility within the race track. In this first race there was a lot of clustering of cars racing, and for the most part it was very clean. Race winner was Josh Staffin, Keith Briscoe finished second, and Jon Uyan finished third. CMS-TXL MX-5s at Road America

August 3, 2019 – This week’s race headed north to Elkhart Lake, home of Road America, a 4-mile high-speed road course that has both long straights and multiple passing zones. With 21 cars taking the grid, it was Greg Mac who took the pole position, with Samuel Scott alongside on Row 1. Several cars were late to the grid and had to start in back, including Paul Darling in his first appearance in the series. > more

Another “Hall Day” at GT3 Autopolis

August 2, 2019 - At the end, it was Greg Hall taking first place (again!) in Group A, and Brian Hall (again!) taking the win in Group B. But with the competition at the NARS Summer Series GT3 race at Japan's Autopolis putting on a real show, the winner wasn't a lock until the very end. Ben Dutton took the pole with a very fast 1:04.781 qualifying run followed by Colin Moore, Adam Baldwin, Greg Hall, and Jason Whitfield with a seperation of only .025 seconds amongst the top five qualifiers! Ben proved the quali time was no fluke by taking the win in the 15 minute race with Jon Uyan grabbing second and Norm Graf in third. For the 45-minute feature race, Greg Hall took the win while Jason (second) and Adam (third) battled and banged their way to the podium. Brian Hall had a little bit easier > more

CMS-TXL GT3s at Jose Carlos Pace

July 30, 2019 – The CMS-TXL GT3 Sports Car Series went South of the Equator for Race 4 on the schedule, visiting the historic Autódromo José Carlos Pace, also known as Interlagos. A tight circuit with several elevation changes intermixed with long, fast straightaways, this circuit provides several opportunities for both gaining and losing positions each lap. This 75-minute event started with 35 cars on the grid, but it wouldn’t take long before attrition would rear it’s ugly head. > more
