February 21, 2021 – Round 2 of the Champion Motorsports 2021 iRacing Team Endurance Series (iRTES) is now over, and while it was a flag-to-flag win in LMP2 and GTE classes, the in-between action was intense, including one of the most epic early laps crashes appropriately nicknamed “the carpark”.
Just as the first iRTES Round last month at Daytona, the event was well attended with 35 teams taking the green flag in the central Florida morning sunshine.
LMP2
The REVO Satellite Team of Paul Darling and David Williams again led the way. While there were moments of challenges from other LMP2 teams, it was the second-in-a-row win for the REVO team. Do they do a hat trick at Le Mans next month?
Coming in second place was the always strong CMS Pro Summit Team of Chris Chmelir and Jordan Johnson. Closing out the podium in LMP2 was Imperial Motorsports – Shake team with drivers Leif Peterson and Chris Paiz.

GTE
Unified Performance equaled the REVO team by running off in the lead at lap 1, and never looking back.
The Unified team of Justin Hess and Kurt Polter took their second-in-a-row and it’ll be a real challenge for Le Mans competitors to break Unified’s success.
In second place at Sebring was the SimHQ Motorsports 3 team of Paul Hale and Conner Denny. In third was the SimHQ Motorsports 2 team of Brian van Beusekom and Nolan Kinslow. I’m partial, but great job SHQM drivers!

Focusing on a crash is never pleasant, but we must mention the race opening. Liam Rudzitas’ video says it all. Driving kudos to those GTE drivers who managed to maintain their composure, and optimize their luck to get through that menagerie!
