One race. One very special trophy.
The overall winner of the 2027 VIP Donor Race will receive a special Champion Motorsports winner's trophy, continuing a long-running community tradition. The real prize, though, is coming together for a memorable afternoon of racing with the people who make CMS possible.
Previous VIP Race champions
The last VIP Donor Race took place in 2025. The tradition returns in 2027, and the CMS archives preserve a memorable roll of honor from our first event in 2021.
- The inaugural donor race used a 35-lap format and three advance qualifying windows.
- Daytona Road Course, 75 minutes; both classes were settled on the final lap.
- Two separate production-class winners were crowned.
- The VIP honor went to the winner in the lightweight open-wheel formula car.
- Campbell won the one-hour race ahead of David Nelson and Wayne Hutchinson.
Relive Rodney Campbell's 2025 Laguna Seca victory, when David Nelson and Wayne Hutchinson completed the podium.
