Congratulations to Julian Cecot for winning the Champion Motorsports, 25th anniversary , Rennsport Open Beta celebration league. As part of 25 great years of simracing we have been hosting various special events and series across the community and thanks to the Rennsport team they were able to setup a really fun series for us with GT4 cars both Audi and BMW at four great tracks for us to experience the new sim in development and have something special to offer our new and existing members. Story by Afonso Souto Images by David Anderson January 30th, 2024 - The first round of the 2024 CMS iRTES Cup Series is done and we had a fun and fiesty one at Spa-Francorchamps. This year's championship brought a new format with a random grid order for the first race of the day. This contributed to an action packed first race. With a car missing the start, we had chaos down into the first corner. Paul Darling took advantage of the confusion and rocketed into the lead, where he stayed the rest of the race. That meant the the 56 Porsche got pole position for the longer 45 minute race. This time around, the grid got through La Source cleanly but that doesn't mean that there was no action. It was a crazy one, a lot of overtaking, lapping, incidents, crashes, all of that producing a great spectacle for everyone watching. In the LMDh Pro once again it's the #65 Satellite Racing Teal car who took honors in this class after a dominant performance once again winning by almost 42s over their sister car. Near Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera is a 4.4km (2.75 miles) long FIA grade 1 track with 15 corners and two straights, which constitute the best overtaking chances on this layout. Founded in 1985 the spanish track has a great history, hosting F1 racing from 1986 to 1990 and two extra races in 1994 and 1997 with the fastest circuit lap being set in this last year by Heinz-Harald Fretzen (Williams-Renault) a 1:23.135. In recent years plays host to MotoGP and it's a regular on the calendar. It is a very technical track with tricky sections and it will be a difficult challenge for the drivers. Story and Images by David Anderson December 12th, 2023 - The 2024 Champion Motorsports iRacing Team Endurance Series (iRTES) is underway for our fourth consecutive season and we could not have gotten off to a more exciting and big start with 57 cars gridded at Daytona International Raceway for race 1 of the 6 race Championship. A thrilling race at Daytona broadcast by Apex Simracing TV and sponsored by Penguin r/c Simulation and simrace247.com did not disappoint with great on track action throughout. Taking top honors in the race overall was the Satellite Racing Teal team.  This season Satellite is back in the series full-time after a break in 2023.  They will be fielding 2 cars and look to reclaim their position on top of the Championship. First up Miguel, our overall Champion with Three wins on the season and a slew of top five finishes put him on top!  Miguel drove hard and fast every round and showed that he is a Champion on any discipline of racing, backing up his earlier Porsche Cup Championship at CMS with the new Truck Hardware. Story and Images by David Anderson July 1st, 2023 - Congratulations to Kyle Smith for this great win at the 1st race of the 2023 Summer iRacing Truck Series sponsored by Champion Motorsports.  Kyle had a great truck all night in the Texas Summer Heat to hold off strong competition from Scott Kennedy, Josue Ramirez, Thomas Fisher and others in what was a thrilling race. Story and Images by David Anderson June 27th, 2023 - The Champion Motorsports iRacing Team Endurance Series (iRTES) raced at Twin Ring Motegi for the first time in our three year history this past weekend and the track and event did not disappoint as we had a great race and some excellent challenges thrown at the field from the hidden gem of  circuit in the Asia Pacific Region. Thirty-one cars to the grid for this contest as we have officially entered the 2nd half of our season and it's time to make strides for key positions and championship runs in all the classes. Story and Images by David Anderson June 11th, 2023 The iRacing Team Endurance Series Porsche Cup Series brought to you by Champion Motorsports and Penguin r/c Simulation took to the Twin Ring Motegi today for a great race for round 5 of the 8 race championship. A field of 15 drivers came into the race, with an exciting points battle up top with Michael Parker narrowly leading Tristan Martz and Brian Szabelski through 4 rounds. Parker would benefit from Miguel Colon having trouble early in the race to take the lead away from Miguel and polesitter Shane Hunter and he would never look back leading all the laps. However it was not without serious stress towards the end of the race as for the 2nd race this season he had big pressure from behind from a charging Blake Reynolds. This circuit and track (especially this time of year) is looked forward to around the world by many fans, drivers, and teams, and our series was certainly no exception as everyone had this one marked on the calendar with Excitement. Story by Thomas Fisher, Images by David Anderson May 18th, 2023 - Unlike during round 1 of the iRTES series powered by Penguin R/C Simulation, Round 2 in Fuji started well with no multi-car pileups around the 3.7 mile circuit. However, a few spins here and there littered much of the race, as cars struggled with the grueling conditions and kerbs around the Fuji international speedway. Archie Coveney drove away from pole for RD Simsport and led a one-two for the team for the first 30 minutes of the race, before the No 18 Obsidian Racing car overtook RD Simsport ll for second place. No one could compete with them on pace, however a penalty late in the race for contact with a GTD showed that one’s greatest adversary is often oneself. This penalty handed Obsidian Racing, who had remained within 20 seconds of the leaders, the victory. The > more

Story and Images by David Anderson May 9th, 2023 - Congratulations to Tristan Martz for pulling off the unbelievable and winning from P4 to P1 in the final few corners at Lemans in the 2023 CMS iRacing Team Endurance Series Porsche Cup Support Series. Tristan would drive a terrific race and also benefit from Miguel Colon, JT Tami, and Blake Reynolds all having issues literally in the final chicane coming to the checkers, which would allow him in a matter of feet go from a good finish to a great finish! Story and Images by David Anderson April 30th, 2023 - With three races into the 2023 iRacing Porsche Cup Series, the official support series to our iRacing Team Endurance Series we have our first repeat winner. Congratulations to Michael Parker for taking the victory at Fuji in a thrilling race that saw him hold off a hard charging Blake Reynolds from the Penguin R/C simulation team in the final laps. Parker would lead all 19 laps of the race after Pole Sitter Cameron Barker had trouble on lap one as well as defending series Champion Miguel Colon as several cars had to make unexpected stops to deal with issues from the unforgiving sausage curbs around the Fuji Circuit.
