Champion Motorsports iRacing Team Endurance Series Opens Season 6 with Exciting Prelude at Okayama The Champion Motorsports iRacing Team Endurance Series officially kicked off its sixth season Sunday with the inaugural Prelude Race at Okayama International Circuit – Full Course, marking the first visit to the Japanese circuit in series history. While no championship points were on the line, the two-hour event served as the perfect opportunity for teams to shake down new cars, fine tune strategies, and size up the competition before the Season 6 championship begins on July 12. The only prize at stake was bragging rights—but judging by the intensity on track, that was more than enough motivation. A field of 17 teams took the green flag, featuring 4 GTP prototypes and 13 GT3 entries, producing outstanding multi-class racing from start to finish. Congratulations are in order to CMS Member Justin Cutler for winning the Championship in our most recent Le Mans Ultimate Fun Series on Monday Nights.  We ran a really fun five race season with the LMP3 Cars, deemed LMP Trophy.  Justin was able to take wins in the series at three of the five events, including a season ending win to cap off a great season at Algarve Portimao.  A huge congrats to Justin for a great accomplishment with a new sim we are enjoying at CMS!

Champion Motorsports would like to congratulate our latest iRacing Series Champion James Gong for his win of multiple races and the overall season Championship in the Wednesday night iRacing Renault Clio Cup Series.  A series which featured a really unique and fun heat to qualifier to main race format James took to the cars very quickly.  With the races all being fixed setup it was important for the driver to be the difference.  James was able to win all but one of the races, with Brian Blanchette taking a victory as well.  The series toured around the world and raced at Iconic Series.  James brought his Tim Hortons clio to the front early and stayed there throughout the 5 race series! November 4th, 2024 - Congratulations to Jesse Lyon for winning the first race of the 2025 Porsche Cup iRTES Support series at Road America.  The series kicked off it's first race of a six race season for the 5th consecutive season with a chilly fall day at the Iconic Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, WI. A twenty four car field would grid up for the race, with Afonso Souto taking pole position.  Souto, after winning a race last season looked to build upon success in prior races and would look strong throughout the race.  He would lead 12 of the 14 laps before having a DQ for exceeding incident limits late in the race while battling with hard pressure from Jesse Lyon for the win.  The two cars separated by less than a second for most of the race. Congratulations to Julian Cecot for winning the Champion Motorsports, 25th anniversary , Rennsport Open Beta celebration league. As part of 25 great years of simracing we have been hosting various special events and series across the community and thanks to the Rennsport team they were able to setup a really fun series for us with GT4 cars both Audi and BMW at four great tracks for us to experience the new sim in development and have something special to offer our new and existing members. The winners of each race were as follows, with Cecot separating himself from the others with two wins at Fuji and Nürburgring. This year's championship brought a new format with a random grid order for the first race of the day. This contributed to an action packed first race. With a car missing the start, we had chaos down into the first corner. Paul Darling took advantage of the confusion and rocketed into the lead, where he stayed the rest of the race. That meant the the 56 Porsche got pole position for the longer 45 minute race. This time around, the grid got through La Source cleanly but that doesn't mean that there was no action. It was a crazy one, a lot of overtaking, lapping, incidents, crashes, all of that producing a great spectacle for everyone watching. In the LMDh Pro once again it's the #65 Satellite Racing Teal car who took honors in this class after a dominant performance once again winning by almost 42s over their sister car. After the second dominant performance of the season they come closer to the overall title at the end of the season. Near Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera is a 4.4km (2.75 miles) long FIA grade 1 track with 15 corners and two straights, which constitute the best overtaking chances on this layout. Founded in 1985 the spanish track has a great history, hosting F1 racing from 1986 to 1990 and two extra races in 1994 and 1997 with the fastest circuit lap being set in this last year by Heinz-Harald Fretzen (Williams-Renault) a 1:23.135. In recent years plays host to MotoGP and it's a regular on the calendar. It is a very technical track with tricky sections and it will be a difficult challenge for the drivers.
