Conditions were warm and sunny for both practice and the race, a blessing that was appreciated by all on this tight and twisty track that is a real challenge for multi-class racing. Qualifying For the fourth race in a row, it was PRO Jason Whited in the Nissan GT-R that set the pace for the remainder of the LMH field, posting a 1:11.223 about midway through the session. CMS Season 5 Round 3 – Laguna Seca

Race Report by Mark Dizon November 16, 2020 - Champion Motorsports ACC heads to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA for the third round of season five! It was a warm overcast evening at race start and track conditions were optimal for close GT racing. The evening event commenced just right before sunset and finished 65 minutes later in the dark of night. Split 1 Hamza Gulzar #14 Bentley Continental GT3 sealed another victory at Laguna Seca! Shawn Campbell #98 Porsche 911 GT3 was not far behind and finished 0.779 seconds after Hamza in P2! Dirk Groeneveld #136 Porsche 911 GT3 kept it clean and consistent throughout the race finishing in P3. Jonathan Lee #8 Porsche 911 led the GT3 field from pole position at the start of the race but lost the lead to Hamza Gulzar at the Andretti Hairpin after receiving a bump from Matheus Freitas > more

NARS VWSC Laguna Seca

Race Report by Matthew Overton October 22, 2020 - The Weathertech Laguna Seca is always an exciting track with drivers constantly busy in their own races and then with the challenges presented by multi-class racing on a tight track. The warm and dry weather did not add to the difficulties of the day, but this did not mean that this race did not have its dramas, all of which contributed to some interesting developments in the series standings. In total, 21 drivers (8 LMP and 13 GTE) took the green, though only 15 finished the race to see the chequered flag. Some aggressive racing, occasional driver error, and some unexpected difficulties in the pit lane all contributed to dashing the hopes of several championship contenders. TCR/MX-5 Club Series at Laguna Seca

Race Report by Tim Collier April 8, 2020 - As the TCR/MX-5 Club Series hits his stride, the teams headed to sunny California and Weathertech Raceway at Laguna Seca for the fifth race of the season marking the halfway point to the title. Another large field for both classes provided some great action on the track, and for some in the sand. In qualifying, Brian Szabelski would grab his second pole of the season in the TCR class to lead the entire field at the start. In the MX-5's it was Justin Hess grabbing yet another pole, this time by four-tenths over second place. It was a clean start for both classes, and up front Szabelski would hold the lead for the first 5 laps of the race, with constant pressure from behind by Miguel Antonio Alcrudo and JT Tami. NARS Summer Finale at Laguna Seca

September 26, 2019 - A 24 race sim racing season is adventuresome and the 2019 NARS Summer Series has now wound down to the final race with the GT3 cars at Laguna Seca. In the 15-minute qualifying race JT Tami got home from work early and made the best of it with a pole and win in the race in Group A followed by Norm Graf in second and John Uyan in third. In Group B, Brian Hall continued his winning ways followed by Paul Ibbotson and Tom Nasella. Due to some technical problems, the feature race was a bit briefer than planned. Don Fryman took the win in Group A followed by Jon and JT. In Group B it was once again Brian Hall followed by Mark Cotherman then Frank Radosti. NARS Summer Goes to Laguna Seca

September 19, 2019 - Winding down the long 24-race NARS Summer Series, the Flatsix survivors made the trek to Laguna Seca. Whicle one of the most famous of road racing venues, it is also one of the toughest for its elevation drops and sudden changes. Norm Graf made a huge charge to the front in qualifying with a 1:25.593. But after 60 minutes it was those Hall guys once again taking the win in Group A and Group B. Group A winner Greg Hall was followed by Norm Graf in second, and Ernest Dela Cruz took third. For Group B, Brian Hall added one more win to his belt with Frank Radosti taking the silver and Mark Cotherman pulling down the third spot on the podium.
