Acceleration Zone
In iRTES, everyone must ignore the green lights in the game.
You go only when your class polesitter accelerates within the AZ.
The Suzuka Acceleration Zone is depicted below and falls between the two circled flag stands. Pay attention and do not accelerate prior to the start of the zone.
Orange Zone (OZ)
Try to avoid causing contact or other problems within the OZ on lap 1.
Penalties will be more severe than normal.
The lap 1 OZ at Suzuka GP runs through to the exit of Turn 11 (hairpin).
Event-specific notes
- “This track is far narrower than our previous events. Faster classes will often need to wait before passing
- LMDh cars continue to be unrealistically quick – expect them out of nowhere.
- Cars leaving the pits are entitled to a lane on the apex of Turn 1 but should themselves be sure to leave space to their left on the exit of Turn 1 if cars already on-track are approaching.
- Cars which run wide without contacts from another car at Turn 14 (“”130 R””) should NOT expect for a space to be left for their return by other vehicles. If you go off-track there you must yield to cars on the racing surface.
- Overtakes into the final chicane are subject to the same standard of overlap prior to turn-in (the CMS “”side-by-side”” rule) as everywhere else.”
