Thread: Win10 + USB devices = powering off?

  1. Default Win10 + USB devices = powering off?

Might not affect anyone here but in case it does....

I just got a new flight sim HOTAS set from Thrustmaster (the T16000M and throttle). Love the hardware but I've been having a multitude of problems because the stick would power down after I loaded the TARGET software and started the sim (DCS World). After doing some Google-ish searching, I found this:

By going into regedit, dropping to the USB area, searching on "Device Parameters" and setting all the USB devices "EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled" to off ("0" instead of "1") no more sleeping of the stick and all is working fine now.

Anyone who has had problems with USB devices taking a nap might check this out. I think the Tmaster sim racing uses the same TARGET software as the flight sim.

Good catch, one to remember. DCS world is very cool, I've only scratched the surface.
