Went pretty good even for facing the wrong way at one point. I was in the front group for a little while and put a wheel off and spun around in the back technical section. Waited for a couple cars to go by and put myself back on the track and got back up to 4th. So started 4th and finished 4th. Goes to show if you can keep driving don't give up because just staying out there can be beneficial.

I wasn't going to qualify because I talk myself out of it half the time but I would say it was worth it in the end. Even if I felt like a road block.

All in all it was a good time and I will be back for the next Mazda race in a couple weeks.

I put my car hard into the wall about 2 laps in. Whoops. It was totaled.

I was extremely happy with my qualifying performance, considering this is not a track I would consider myself strong on at all. Qualified 6th, but on the formation lap right after leaving the grid, I noticed my breaks were stuck at around 20% without any input from me. So I towed back to the pit and had to readjust the settings to get the break back to normal. By the time I was able to rejoin the race I was all the way down in 14th place and lapped by the entire field. So I just decided to do as much damage control as I could with the remaining 37 minutes in the race. I fought it out with some people and really did my best to not cause any issues for anyone as they were all a full lap ahead of me. I did have some contact with Dan (Tarheel Dan) at Surtees Corner, but I think we both came away from it okay. I sadly did not gain any places in the race on the track, but all through the misfortune of other people.

So two poor races in a two-week span. Gotta step up my game over the next races. Thanks for the great racing everyone.

Another fun night with the Miata! I liked this track combo with the Miata because you could really fly through the corners. I had an absolute blast battling JT, Greg, and Larry the whole race. We were swapping positions back and forth the whole race. It wasn't quite as easy to pass here but it was easy to stay close. At some point Humberto caught us and disappeared into the horizon, but lucky for us his wife called. We need to see if we can track down Humberto's number and start calling him in the middle of races . From then on it was a battle for first. JT took the lead and was just a little to fast for me to catch him and get by. Had an absolute blast! Close and clean racing all night. Looking forward to the next one!

I had a lot of fun practicing for this and bombing around. I enjoyed the few lap battle that I had with Tim, too.

Unfortunately, I dropped a tire coming out of the final corner and spun. Managed to keep it off the wall and away from Mike, but, since I spun into the pits, had to take a penalty for unsafe entry. And then the tires were changed, compounding my time loss. The rest of the time was spent hot lapping.
