Video of the 7 hour stream tonight mainly focused on the BETA car as it was contending for top 10 most of the night.

I want to make a special call out to Vincent Marsh for his efforts on the team last night. He did not run any laps, however his contributions were important. Originally scheduled to run in the Omega Car which was retired prematurely for damage, Vince saw that JT Tami on the Beta team was having Internet problems. This forced David to have to do an unplanned double while we looked for an emergency option. Matthew was able to take us to the finish, but Vince was there on stand by for us, registered with the team and helping along with JT to work the calculator on several fronts to ensure we could get scored, and to the finish. So even if it doesn't sometimes show up in the results, these types of contributions are what make a team. Also for sure a big disappointment for JT with his ISP issues, but he too stuck with us even from cell phone when needed and was there to do whatever possible to get Matthew and David to the checkers. Proud to be a part of our community and team.

It was great having Vincent there - provided some good math backup and kept spirits bubbling. It was truly a team effort and the top 10 finish (ie. 10th) was very satisfying for us all. Big shout out to David Anderson, who worked an unexpected double stint with elegance and grace. Looking forward to the VRS Enduro series in Montreal with JT - along for the ride while he makes up for lost time last night!
    Cheers, Matthew

Only 11 hours after being forced to retire from the Friday night session of the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen, the Omega car, piloted by Jay Dargert, Paul Hamilton and Scott Roeder returned to the track. The earlier session had been marred by continual difficulties, but the Saturday race went much better. Starting from 32nd place in a strong field, the car was almost immediately confronted with a challenge after becoming involved in a multi-car accident in the Esses. But the damage was not as serious as the previous day and the team was able to take routine pit stops until another accident caused the steering of the car to go awry. But after about five minutes of repairs, the problem was solved and the car continued, only slightly-slowed, to finish 20th. Considering the caliber of the competition, this was a fine result. Scott had the drive of the day with only four incidents in a 90-minute stint, increasing his safety rating by 0.76.

Default cmsracing.com iRacing Endurance Team Completes top 10 at Watkins Glen 6 Hours

A big congratulations to the entire team of 3 cars and over 10 drivers from Champion Motorpsorts for their efforts this past weekend at Watkins Glen in the iRacing 6 Hours. We entered 3 cars over the two day splits and were pleased to have multiple finishes. The weekend was highlighted on Friday night's split by our Beta Team finishing in 10th place in a strong 50 car field. The car was driven by David Anderson, Matthew Overton, JT Tami and Vincent Marsh helping on pit wall throughout the teams night.

CMS Beta Team finishes in 10th position at Watkins Glen 6 Hours on iRacing.com (above)

The Beta team had quite an interesting and entertaining race. David Anderson started the race, and would have to drive most of the first 3 hours after unexpected Internet problems for JT Tami. Luckily for Tami he made the minimum number of laps with 18 of the required 17 in the books to meet our driver minimums while fighting the Internet Problem all night. Matthew Overton drove a double stint at the end to get us to the finish line in beautiful fashion with only a single incident on his night and amazing steady driving to keep the team up front. Vincent Marsh also played a critical role for the team by subbing in for JT Tami and helping on pit wall.

The finish for the Beta team backed up another strong set of recent Endurance runs with the team solid at Nurbrugring, and Winning at Lemans. We will now begin preparations for the 24 hours of Spa in our GT3 Ferrari coming up in late July.

We would also like to shout out to the Omega Team from Watkins Glen . They were dealt a bad call on Friday night getting collected in an incident but fought back and re-entered on Saturday again and were able to complete their weekend with a solid session.

Great team work by everyone up to and during the race to have the results we achieve as a team and we are excited for Spa next Month!
