Default Fernando at Indy Practice Accident

This could have been a LOT worse...thankfully he stayed on the ground.

We've had two more incidents in practice:

Yesterday, Felix Rosenqvist caught the grass in T2 and spun, hitting the outside wall extremely hard, then came back across the track and was thankfully missed by the following cars. He was checked out and cleared afterwards thankfully.

And today, rookie Patricio O'Ward hit the Turn 2 wall hard, but he was checked and released from the infield care center thankfully.

If there's something you can say positive about these three incidents, these cars are doing a great job at keeping the drivers safer than in years past.

Man, that Felix Rosenqvist crash could have been ugly. That was super close.

Anyone else start getting nervous for race day when seeing this stuff in the weeks prior to Indy?
Every year for me. By race day, I'm actually worried for the drivers, and I'm not even there. Can only imagine the nerves when the green drops. YEESH!

They're really trimming those cars out, and pushing hard...if it's qualifying trim, I'd hate to be around other cars!

I wonder how low they run the rear DF. In rF2 the Indy (low DF) package has even negative rear wing adjustment option available! Hard to believe RL version would use that, unless it somehow balances out the DF body produces.

You read these articles about how McLaren failed REPEATEDLY throughout April and May, they hopefully learned a lot about what it takes to be prepared for next year:

And then reading where McLaren was working on buying a seat in one of the other cars for Alonso, and he said they have to earn that seat and not take it away from someone who earned it, very respectable.
