    Warm Up Session

Once the Warm Up session has started THE TRACK WILL BE CLOSED for the Drivers Meeting and no one is allowed to be on track during the drivers meeting. If someone does go on track while the track is considered closed they will get a warning message from the admin to get off the track. If they do not get off the track after this warning in a timely manner their qualifying position will be forfeited and they will be put at the back of their class for the rolling start.

    Starting Procedure

A: For this series, we will continue to use a modified rolling start. This will include a one-lap, single file rolling formation lap controlled by the driver that won the pole position. Pole sitter should use pace speed of 62mph (100kph).

B: If a driver other than the pole sitter advances past other vehicles during the formation lap, they are required to allow all cars in their class pass by them and start the race at the rear of their class. If they do not follow this procedure they will receive an NQ for the next race they attend.

C: Be advised that as the game places you on the grid the car directly in front of you is NOT the car that you qualified behind. It would be the car ahead and in the opposite lane. As the leader starts rolling you need to allow the car in the row ahead and in the opposite lane to "fall in" behind the car directly ahead to achieve single file in the proper qualifying order.

D: The race starting point will be at the exit of the last turn (turn 23) on to the Start/Finish line straight.
You may pass other cars at that point but be aware of the Orange Zone rules.

E: Do not weave back and forth, abruptly speed up or slow down, or jam on the brakes in an attempt to warm your tires or brakes during the formation lap. This could easily cause an accident with another car anyone found doing so may receive an NQ for the next race they attend.

F: If you lose control on the formation lap, you MUST let all cars pass and rejoin at the end. The penalty for not doing this is a no qualify at your next event. If you cause an accident on the formation lap, you will be DQ'd from the race results, and will receive a no qualify/drive-thru at your next event.

    Pit Sharing

Be aware that some of the tracks that we use will have fewer pit stalls than we have drivers. Therefore it is very likely that you are sharing a pit stall with another driver. The best way to deal with this is for you to always pit as far as you can to the inside of the pit stall. This way if the driver your sharing with pits on the same lap as you, there will be room for them to receive pit service as well. If done correctly this works quite well. If you have never done this I recommend you practice this until you feel comfortable with it. Essentially you are splitting the stall in half. If you pull too far to the side the crew will not service you. If you don't pull far enough to the side the crew will not service the driver you are sharing with.

    Track Boundaries

Please stay within the white lines. It's really in all of our interests if you do! Be aware that the built-in track policemen will give you a warning then a penalty or penalties if they think you have gained by the corner cut.

IMPORTANT! These penalties are not under the control of the race admins, and drivers have to fulfill them or after a few laps, rF2 will DQ your entry.

    Race Comms (Discord)

    • Comms quiet during Qualifying so others can concentrate.
    • Driver's meeting will be on Discord, not in the text.
    • All drivers should use Discord until after the drivers meeting.
    • Drivers are welcome to disconnect from Discord or continue to monitor race control after the drivers meeting.

    Important Series Updates

Drivers! Be sure and read this update to the series.

The server is now online and ready for practice!

Just a reminder for those that don't read the Briefing real close...
The Series Finale will be a 90 Minute Race
That gives us an extra 30 minutes to bounce it off the walls

Never let up for a second....or that may be where you finish!

FYI to all GTE drivers, you can select the low aero package for these cars. I didn't know this was an option until somebody mentioned it during our last race. So anybody stuck with a top speed in the 270kph range might look into the low aero package when selecting the car.

@Admins FYI, server is set to 1 hr race atm instead of 90 min.

And starting procedure does not specify passing before S/F line allowed or not.

This is going to be a tough one!

And, it's going to require a lot of give and take, or else it's going to be carnage!
Hope GTE guys understand that (besides a very few places) on the mountain - especially back down the mountain - us LMP2 drivers cannot really overtake. I mean, we can, but it's far too dangerous. No need for GTE to try to facilitate passes there, we are going to be forced to follow until Conrod. So, just do your thing, we (I, anyways) will not run you over and we know this is the case and are not irritated because we cannot go by.

We are going to lose time there when we meet traffic. Nature of the beast.

That said, pretty excited about this race. The LMP2 is ridiculous here. Laughing as I chuck it around the mountain, thinking, "why in the hell am I in this particular car, on this particular track" Flat. out. NUTS! (And I love it )

Has a similar car ever been ran here real world side? I can't seem to find any actual footage, but if someone has that and would kindly share that'd be very cool.

Jenson Button put and F1 car around this place (very similar in terms of lap time)
Sharing just for the heck of it

Eric and myself will be there representing the horses arses and playing ping pong with the walls, can't wait! =)

Also thanks to Jason for maybe settling some anxiety of being followed by LMPs thinking "I'm so sorry for holding you up, let me move unnaturally for you to pass me" *creates incident*

    See you tonight!
