Well i can't wait to hear what you think. I will probably wait till next year before upgrading since I have already spent plenty this year on my rig.

Well Mike, after watching a video tonight on the Steam Index and those knuckle controllers, I changed my reservation to the full package....and my ship date moved up to August 31st!

Yeah it's going to be hard to wait till next year.... I might be a bad boy soon. At least I wouldn't have to explain my actions until it got here if it were to be mysteriously ordered. The controllers do look cool but I don't know if I plan on using it for anything other then driving. Is it any cheaper to order it all together? I know everything can be bought individually if I want to add the controllers and a second sensor down the road.

You really don't save that much by buying it pieced out...$999US vs. ($499+$279+149+149)=$1076. If you never plan on doing anything but racing/flying, then the headset/sensor price of $648 compares well to other headset costs.

I will admint, the Samsung Odyssey+ is tempting at $499, no sensors required, same resolution as the Index, and very well liked on the iRacing forums. Wow, it's on sale now for $398 on Amazon!!!

And if you are willing to try refurbished - I frequently go this route - I see prices as low as $313 with a 90 day guarantee....
