    Default Important - Car Update!

    Hi All,

We've taken the opportunity during our mid-season break to make a minor update to the Porsche 356.

While well matched in qualifying, the Porsche has suffered unduly compared to the others over the stretch of our one hour races. Patrice has made an incremental update to the rear tire wear, and slightly repositioned the fuel tank to improve the dramatic falloff in balance the car was suffering during long runs.

    Download links:
    Full Version 6
    Physics patch for Version 5

The server is updated, so you will need this patch as of now.

Thanks as always to Patrice for his work in providing us this excellent car!
    Change log for version 6:
Since the car is already competitive on hot lap performance, wear and balance change are tweaked to provide less dramatic change in handling as the race progresses.
    - Updated tire wear curves (more gradual and balanced decrease in grip)
    - fuel tank position slightly moved back (a couple of inches)

    See you at Feldbergring!

Downloaded (several times) and wiped out my old versions before installing the FULL v6 car. Checksum error trying to join the server.
Using the link here to the FULL version. Any ideas? I recall there may be an associated file in my Documents folder which maybe ISN'T being changed with this FULL download.

BTW, AC needed to reinstall itself too while trying to update this car, but I think that's something to do with Steam (and not this small car update). That seems to have gone well, even if annoying.

That's strange, it worked fine for me. I just wiped the old folder, copied the FULL version and could join the server with it.

There was also no update or reinstall of AC on my PC.

EDIT: the only things related to cars stored in the Documents folder are setups, usually no need to wipe those...

I'm having a Steam issue, methinks: It just needed to reinstall AMS too when the shortcut failed trying to start AMS. ACC is working just fine though, go figure.
The 356 is a different issue, but I've had this before with the Porsche. I'll keep after it, knowing the link worked for you, thanks.
