Default Historics Fall Season Race 4 - Charade 4km

Join us on Sunday, December 9, for Race 4 of the Historics Fall Season - Charade 4km (also known as Clermont-Ferrand)

Our tour of tight roller coaster tracks continues as we travel to the modern short layout of Circuit Charade in France. This is one of my favorite tracks, and I'm already looking forward to mixing it up again with our 60's coupes!

This event will be standing start. AC now allows gear selection before the green, but be aware that it also allows (and penalizes) false starts! So don't go before the green!

This season we are requiring all drivers to pit for at least 1 liter of fuel, even if you could make the race distance (most cars will not be able to go the distance anyway).

The server is set for 2 minutes between the Qualifying session expiring and the start of the race. Be sure to check the remaining time when the session advances so as not to get caught out.

We will have a long Orange Zone for this event, through Virage de la Ferme as shown on the track map (in hopes that we don't wind up like the guy in the video above!)

    Download the track here

    Race Schedule
    Practice: 8-8:45 p.m. Central Time (US) - 45 min
    Qualify: 8:45-9:00 p.m. Central Time (US) – 15 min
    Warmup: 9:00-9:05 p.m. Central Time (US) - 5 min
    Race: 9:05 p.m. Central Time (US) - 60 min

Note that AC supports timed races, so the lap count will not be pre-determined.

This is a fun track, lots of tight turns and short straights so should have some great battles going in the race. I did 5 laps and managed a 2:16.293 so far.

Since we have no live timing yet, just reporting a bit of practice time.

...in line with Dave at the moment...mostly 2:16-ish in my initial laps. Can probably dip to 14s or so, and somewhere between is more than likely my "race pace" (until I smoke the tires and that 40kgs catches up with me! )

....@Christopher...I'll try to avoid a roll over this next race, so if you happen to get behind me, just know I'm trying....

Have I missed the info on what my penalty is for not doing my penalty last race?

I think you just have to serve it this time around.
I don't think there is an actual penalty for not serving it last time.

Info above is correct Dave. Not serving it second time will result in DQ from this race result, that's the only condition. No additional penalty.

@Mike, Mas du Clos race review is ready.

Gents, please note that there will be no more OZ reviews by stewards (.https://cmsracing.com/champion/forum...3641-New-Rules)
We will review IRRs (Incident Review Requests) only from now on. The protest submission (soon to be IRR) form link is broken atm and I notified David on this.
If you wish to file an IRR sent it directly to David if the link is not fixed yet.
