Does this mean that the GT3 league will not resume until April?

As stated above, it is just a tentative schedule. The reasoning for how it is right now is to allow iRacing to implement the heat racing system which will benefit the dirt racing side of things and to allow for us to enjoy the holidays. If we want to discuss starting earlier, condensing the schedule a little bit, or doing a different schedule altogether, I am open to the idea. This was just my preliminary mock up with the idea to start after the holidays.

Making racers wait two weeks for an event is like taking the crack from a junkie. This should be a fun series and we should race every week im bored as hell... Geter done...

Life's journey is not about showing up to the grave in a well preserved body, But to come in sideways totally used up Shouting WOO HOO what a F*&^ing ride.

With iRacing Season 1 2018 coming just in the next few days, and heat racing being included into that package, the Jack of All Trades rules and regulations will undergo a few amendments to take into account these changes. Also, once the new build is released, general sign-ups will start for our filler series. Be watchful for the official sign-up thread to go up. Thanks to those who have already pre-registered.

Pomegranate season is winding down here at POM Wonderful so I should be able to get back to racing again

    Hey all,

A quick update through the Hub. RallyCross is now one of the four official disciplines of the Jack of All Trades series. We are still currently evaluating the best method to run heat sessions to best simulate Dirt track and RallyCross racing formats. Due to the restriction of the maximum number of cars for the different heat types, RallyCross will be adopting the multiple session format (multiple qualifying race sessions followed by multiple points race sessions) while Dirt track racing will use a single session utilizing iRacing's heat system. Sign-ups will still be utilized for RallyCross rounds in addition to being used for Dirt track rounds in order to help facilitate and determine the need for the multiple session format. If the number of sign-ups indicate that a multiple session format will be needed/utilized for the Dirt track rounds, an announcement will be put up with the round information. Any round that uses the multiple session qualifying format will have a random draw to see which of the qualifying sessions each driver will participate in. More details on this will follow in the coming weeks.

The Hub's main post also has been updated to reflect the addition of the two RallyCross rounds. The season will still start on January 10th of the new year and end on March 21st, but there will be eight rounds squeezed into those twelve weeks. All rounds that use the Dirt or RallyCross disciplines will have a break week in front of them to allow all of us to have a little rest as well as to allow time for sign-ups, again, to aid in organization. If you are interested in the current schedule, please see the main Hub page on the first post.

Lastly, due to this extended evaluation to remedy the points, event night structure, and additional rules modifications, the 2nd Revision of the rules has not been finalized as of yet. I will update everyone through the weekend as I will be able to have time to test out the heat racing formats in hosted sessions this weekend to determine the best, and hopefully the most enjoyable, way of running the Dirt and RallyCross events.

That is all for this update. I will be updating this post again soon to present the second rules revisions and to open up registration for the Jack of All Trades series. Until then.
