    Default rFactor2 new content announcement

Link to story: Sim Racing Mania Studio 397 Marcel Offermans on the developments within rfactor 2 - Sim Racing Mania

Summary - Marcel Offermans of Studio 397 spoke at a simracing event, and mentioned that not only was DX11 and VR coming in the next month, but Circuit Zandvoort is coming to rFactor 2 as official content with a recent lilcensing deal, and a "high-end Formula car" is ready and waiting for licenses that have to be signed.

He also shared more DX11 images, which are in the article link above...but these two were my favorites:

Note the subtle shadowing on the car, such as around the taillights and such.

But what's most interesting about the DX11 work was, as we all know, takes less computing power than DX9 when done right, but they will also add Depth of Field to replays/exterior cameras and lighting would be improved. The goal is to reach the level of visuals found in other simracing titles of course.

Last but not least, yes, you're not going to like these three letters....DLC. They are looking at releasing future content in the form of DLC's....which, if it's licensed content, I'm in!

Looks good, really looking forward to try it.

I don't mind paying for DLC's if they price it right (like those in AC), I just hope they will get it right and you're going to be able to join an online race if you own one car, not all of them as it is now in AC.
