Thread: Speedometer mod for 70's cars!

  1. #1

Default Speedometer mod for 70's cars!

The 911,Capri and Corvettes all have Speedo's marked in Kilometers.
I have made a mod that switches them to MPH if you like.
Also marks off Pit Speed to make pitting easier especially if you don't use a pit limiter button like me, as they didn't have pit limiter buttons in the 70's

Sorry BMW guys but your cars have no Speedo's
These files don't overwrite or destroy anything..so if you don't care for them you can simply delete them.
Instructions included, very easy, only takes a second to install

    enjoy...Bob Dunlop
    Example..Corvette speedometer

Sweet, Bob. Trying to remember that conversions of kph to mph on the fly was annoying. Always thought it odd that even some of the American cars had the kph speedos.

    Two thumbs up.

Ok what am I doing wrong here? I copied it into my c:/GTL/Game Data/Teams/GTC-TC-76/911 folder and still have KMH on the speedo. You'd think I could figure this out but NOOOOO... Must be a Senior Moment!

Not sure Mike...I just tried it and it works ok for me.
Make sure you unzip the file, copy and paste the .tga into the Porsche folder w/ all the Porsche car folders...dont put it in your particular car folder but just w/ all the Porsche folders
    It should work fine
