John Rowland (pictured above) drives to P2 Podium at Buenos Aires
Two weeks in a row has yielded 2 podium finishes for the Champion Motorsports Driving Team. This week John Rowland delivered an awesome 2nd place finish in the Virtual Online Racers 1979 Grand Prix Series at Buenos Aires. Previously David Anderson had given Champion a 3rd place podium finish at Kyalami. While both of these events were non-points paying (test races for upcoming series), they proved to show that the Champion Driving Team of John Rowland, Tim Collier, and David Anderson will be strong in the 79 Races. With the season kicking off for points next week we look to build on the early season momentum in these test races for a strong season. Stephen King was the winner of the race at Buenos Aires in his Fittipaldi, when Jim Best had an accident while leading with 2 laps to go. Stephen benefited from the demise of Best car; which also moved Rowland from the P3 up to P2 for the finish. Great job John, and we look forward to more good things to come from this series!

The official points season at VOR will kick off next week -- should be exciting!
