Please enjoy this 4 Races in Season to Date Recap from Tim Collier on our Wednesday Night iRacing GT Series!

In this first full season of the CMS-TXL series, we have some great battles atop the standings in our three divisions as we head to race #5 at Sebring International this week!! Let's take a look at where we are...

    GTE Pro Class:

After four races, there's a literal log-jam atop the standings here, with Clark Archer holding a one point lead over Leif Peterson and Paul Darling. This is a battle that, barring absentees, will go down to the wire. Just behind them in 4th, Chris Pence is waiting to pounce on any bad nights ahead, and don't overlook Victor Tanaka in 5th, who could make up that one missed race before all is said and done. All told, this division has had four different winners in the first four races, and bets are that the diversity in spreading the points around won't end anytime soon.

    GTE Am Class:

This division has seen the highest turnout on average this season, which means off nights cost you more points, and therefore it will take clean races to put in a bid for the title. After a spectactular run at the Ring, Kris Hudson holds a 15 point lead over Peter Hebron, who has also had a great season so far. Behind them in third, Julie took the win at Daytona and has been in the mix keeping it close in the standings, and just behind her we have a group of drivers that have proven consistency is key. Jay Freels and David Anderson are currently tied for 4th, with JT Tami, Dion Smith and Russell Gordon all in the mix as well. With 5 races to go, there's a lot of points a stake, both to gain and lose, so expect a lot of movement in this list in the coming weeks!

    GT3 Gents Class:

With less downforce than the GTE cars, as well as having to navigate traffic both ahead and behind makes this a very tough job for any driver. This class has had four different winners in the first four races, but Paul Hamilton's consistency has put him atop the standings for the moment, with a 20 point lead over returning veteran Mike Tyler, who gets faster week after week. Hamilton's experience will pay dividends, but keep an eye in the mirror as just behind Tyler are drivers with a one race deficit but still in the hunt, being led by Anthony James, a driver that's consistently listed at the top of the speed chart each week. But don't leave out John Addison, another sim-racing veteran, and Jay Dargert , yet another driver already with a win this season. My money is that this class will close up before it's all said and done.

And remember that provisional points are earned after every two races attended....but more importantly, after Sebring it's Lime Rock, the North American bullring, where it will be a very busy night for everyone on the track!

Good luck this week everyone, and enjoy the beautiful sunset in Florida!!

While I had driven many online events at the Sebring International Raceway, I'd never had the chance to compete in the Modified course. The shorter Modified course may have taken just under 1 minute a lap, but it featured many technical challenges that were going to make it difficult for the drivers at Lionheart.

After the points miracle that happened at Indianapolis, I had to finish at minimum in 10th in this race and the season finale at Homestead in order to clinch what would be the first eSports championship of my online racing career. Road courses had been my weak spot all season despite having 2 podiums and a 4th place, so I wanted to make sure that I drove a smart race with as little mistakes as possible to try and overcome this potential vulnerability. Would I be able to make the desired improvement to help my championship cause? Watch and find out!

We are very proud to share an exciting announcement between Porsche Club of America and iRacing, in a great e-sports Championship exclusively for PCA members! What makes this even cooler is that our very own Doug Atkinson here at CMS and SimHQ Motorsports has been at the core of this to get it off the ground! Congrats Doug! We hope to see many of our own CMS members who own Porsches in real life and are involved with the PCA take advantage of this.

    Quote and video from Doug:

"Here is one of the reasons I've been so busy lately. I pitched the idea and scope to PCA mid last year and it is just announced. We were working on it long before Porsche made its WCS series announcement. So it fits well with our club which covers North America. First race is broadcast live March 1st."

Well, here it is! My very first official upload of a Lionheart IndyCar Series race. I'm still learning the ropes in this series and was focused on having a nice, clean run after unfortunately having an incident out of my control take me out of the previous race. How did things turn out in this clean, caution-free event? Watch and find out.

CMS Member Mark Cohn comes to us with another high quality simracing member stream. This time in retro open wheelers at Road America on iRacing. Check it out!

The Lionheart Retro Series was competing at one of my top 2 favorite road courses in North America this week, Road America. I was very excited to get to race at this fast, flowing yet technical road course, but had unfortunately struggled for pace through the last 2 weeks of preparation. Would I be able to improve myself into a decent finish? Watch and find out.
