2020 NARS Endurance Racing Series
Final Standings
NARS VWSC Final Standings
Race Reports
Petit LeMans – October 8, 2020
Laguna Seca – October 22, 2020
The following was the Series presentation at the beginning of the year.
Introduction
First, in response to the strong response to the VWSC series established with a global-friendly timeslot on Saturday mornings every other week, the mod used will also be featured in the well-established and popular NARS Thursday night timeslot. NARS will provide a second opportunity for the CMS rF2 community to race this custom-developed mod that included George Angelidis, Felix Shendel from SimRacing United, our Ross Smith and Ales from URD amongst many others. We will be using the same tracks and overall race rules as for the Saturday morning VWSC series.
There will also be some special events throughout the season and details will be provided as the race details are finalized.
Cars
We will use the Studio 397 Oreca 07 LMP2 and a custom-made adaptation of URD’s EGT mod for Champion Motorsports’ use. You must own both to connect to the server.

PRO and AM Group Settings
As with the VWSC series, we are going to allow ABS usage for those that choose to use them. Each driver should decide what they want to use, or not use. There are two unique settings for each Group.
PRO Drivers
PRO drivers (LMP2/GTE-Pro) can use ONLY in-setup game aids (both LMP2s and GTEs have Traction Control ONLY). In GTE you must select 1 Traction Control Mode you will be in the race (Conservative = high TC, Intermediate and Aggressive = low TC). Within each mode, you have 4 maps you can select and tune in-game.
Anti-lock brake settings
To change the map, you are in while driving, please assign a button to your wheel as shown below. ABS mapping is doing nothing since ABS is not allowed in the GTE-Pro class and thus not needed to be assigned.
Traction control settings
Should a Pro driver use ABS from the rFactor 2 game aid menu, they will be penalized by two race spots for each offense when the results are checked post-race at simresults.net. Example: A Pro driver uses ABS on 2. They would be penalized 4 spots in the race results and points.
AM Drivers
AM drivers (LMPC/GTE-Am) can use anti-lock brakes (ABS), on settings 1-2 but must enable it from the rFactor 2 game aids. Similarly, they can change the ABS mapping while driving similarly to TC as shown above.
The server is set to allow ABS at 1-2. Because rFactor 2 cannot separate which cars are which class, drivers will need to set their car settings allowable to their group.
