PoR Week 35: WRC FTC MRC FHCC etc. |
|
Sep 08, 2010 - 1:27 AM - by spspears

Week 35 already? Where has the year gone? Guess we can say that our stretch run is starting as the Summer winds down.

We've been settled at 25th place out of 47 in the stable standings for quite a while now. It's a solid position for our ragtag band of North Americans in their first year of competition - especially considering that we didn't even exist until week 7. But, it sure would be nice to end the year in the top half of the standings. Right now, we're in a battle to take over 24th from a plummeting Rallye-Normand.com squad, who have suffered lately from a couple... [Read More]

Fight or Flight? ... Kris Hudson (Corvette C6-RGT) and Tom Cinnamon (Porsche 997) dominate over their fellow racers at Road America with their respective GT & GTC class win. Of the 29 CMS drivers who started this epic race, only 20 experienced the checkered flag in the end.

Fight: Outraged that he could not reel in K. Hundson Design Racing in the final laps of the race, JT Tami took his... [Read More]

|

The CMS World Division held it`s 3 Class ILMS event today at the famous but deadly Road America track and as usual this track took it`s toll of drivers with it`s unforgiving bends, slippery grass and gripping sand traps.
Neal Johnson was on pole after a blistering 1:44.243 lap,but the overall winner and P1 top step podium went to Mark Bos who also got the fastest race lap of 1:46.411.
On the second step was Neal Johnson who also had a cool race lap time of 1:46.574.

Napoleon has been defeated at Magny Cours ... Kris Hudson (Acura ARX-02A) crowns himself as the new emperor of CMS. Dwayne Jans (Acura ARX-01B) is promoted to field general with his P2 win, proving that an intelligent sniper can be just as dangerous as the artillery man's cannon. Taking home 1st in class, Scott Clark (Ford GT) leads his battered troops back home after fighting well in the GT trenches.

Second place P2 finisher, Mike Tribble (Pescarlo Mazda) and 3rd place finisher, Dave Slee (Pescarolo Mazda), were... [Read More]

Announcing the CMS National Runoffs Series, beginning 10/3 |
|
Aug 27, 2010 - 10:43 PM - by Phil E
|
The CMS National Runoffs series, run using rfactor, begin 10/3. We will actually be using 4 different mods during this series, culminating in a very special night of racing.

We will be simulating what club racers go through each year to make it to the most prestigious amateur road racing event in the US, the SCCA National Runoffs. They begin each year racing in regional club events across the US. Success in these events lead to an invitation to run in the Nationals, a one week winner-take all event. Just like many of the most dedicated club racers, we will actually be running... [Read More]
