Is there a legitimate way to play GTL...

StarForce can kiss my....... And 10tacle can hop in line, too. It is dispicable on the part of these two organizations (I don't care that 10T is dead... somebody owns the dam IP rights) that I cannot run GTL on my computer without resorting to nefarious methods.

I am looking for a way to play my old GTL without using hax0r tools. I am a legitimate owner so I suppose I should be able to assuage my consience knowing that but the methods are distasteful to me. Any advice other than to dual boot with XP and Win7?

Download and play the power&glory mod if you have GTR2. IMO its much better than GTL. Requires a GTL disk check, but no install of GTL so no starforce.

I think there are also some versions of GTL without Starforce. Seems like they did away with it on a 2nd edition or something.

I have P&G 2.1 installed (waiting patiently for 3.0), but I feel like GTL looked better. Maybe I am having a case of "fond memories" (which prompted my desire to install and run a few laps) and it looks just the same.

Have HistorX for rF, too, but it just doesn't seem the same, either.

That doesn't resolve my current issue of having three frisbees in a nice CD case enclosed in a groovy game box. If I knew where Mr. Starforce lived I'd have my Spaniel plant one on his front porch just to let him know how I feel about things.

When P&G 3 comes out, we WILL be running a Fun Series with it. Surprised you think GTL looks better tho. They did use a "light" color palette that made the game more braight and airy, while P&G is more grimey. Maybe I like grimey
