Race Room The Game - Downloaded and Tried -- Pretty Interesting

I downloaded and tried the FREE (yes 100% free) Race Room the Game from simbin today and have to admit it's pretty fun and a simulation based on the rFactor / GTR Evo/GTR2 type engine ... here is a link if you want to check it out.

you have to download the game and setup a free account on their site. I did an AI race in the Camaro which was pretty fun and also did one of their online hotlap competitions ...

I had that installed briefly, but deleted it to free up space... they also have a free add-on for Race07 that adds the Race Room Formula car and the Hockenheim Ring to Race07... existing raceroom.net members got an unlock code emailed to them when it came out, I think new members get it in their welcome email.

I want to try this, but, do you need to have race 07? or is it a "standalone" game?
