Default New Historic Add-on for Race07

In case you hadn't seen this, Simbin has announced a new "Retro" add-on pack for Race07, that will be available next week.

    It will include these cars:

    1968 Volvo Amazon
    1972 Volvo P1800 ES
    1971 BMW 2002
    1968 Mini Cooper S
    1971 Opel Commodore GS 3001
    1973 BMW 3.0 CSL
    1974 Chevrolet Corvette
    1970 Chevrolet Camaro

As well as two new tracks:
    Hillclimb Stage
    Poznan

The Hillclimb Stage is the first point-to-point timed track that Simbin has ever put into a game.

Should be in the $7 range, I think it will be a must-buy for me!

I saw on Steam they also released a GT pack with the BMW M3, Matech Ford and the Zonda, and added Mid Ohio and another track for $7. Both packs sound fun!

Might be fun to use these in the Historics Division for an upcoming series or even in the Fun Series to check them out. I would enjoy dusting off the RACE 07 platform and giving it a shot again with these vintage cars. -- DA

I just reinstalled Race07, with the evolution addon then purchased the Retro which is a must have now. Might need something else so wait to see what you all want.

Now also have GTR2, but the Legends that came with it near caused me much grief with a shut down of the computer and black screen and the old Dos apperacnce page. To much worry so tossed it for now. Maybe the other box with WinXP. This is Win7 64.

So glad I finaly got around to review some of the other forum sites which brought me here.

Thanks, Eric and all for this,

    Larry

Larry, the original GT Legends Game does not work well with Windows 7, however there is a solution. If you can prove original ownership, which I am sure you can, then you can get a new/modernized copy that has been fixed to work with Windows 7. Here are the details.

I bought the retro pack today, cost me about 7 bucks, and it's worth it in my opinion. The American Muscle cars Vette and Camaro are a lot of fun to drive, they really power around and slide through the corners. Additionally the hill climb is fun and interesting, I love doing that in the Mini Cooper S. I could see us being able to have a fun hillclimb here at CMS if there was enough interest. Definitely worth at least some consideration from either the Fun Series or Historics series here at CMS -- DA

    David

How do you think the Hillclimb would run in MP. Could we watch others make runs, then make our run?
