Well I think I am beginning to get a better handle on the Mazda. At Sebring I ran a poor race with a few spins but luckily others were worse and somehow I finished 5th but with only 42 points. Brands Hatch was my first race with my new computer and though it felt better and certainly looked better the results were worse. I felt on edge for most of the race, dropping a wheel in the Mazda is like instant death. In two tries I managed a 7th and 8th place finish, the 7th netting me 37 points. Something finally clicked this week at Infineon, I ran a very clean race only picking up a 1x for a dropped wheel in the carousel entrance complex. In the highest strength of field race I have had yet in the Mazda 1623 I took 4th which gave me 77 points almost as much as the previous two races combines (79 pts). So at this point in week 4 I sit at 5th in division 8 at 214 points. I am not looking forward to Laguna Seca however because I just am not a fan of the track.

IMO, Laguna Seca is fun track - I have practiced there numerous times and I've got better there. Only RC that I cannot drive were Silverstone and New Hampshire RC - they're tough to adapt for me.

My season is going ok so far, although i'm not trying to be the best, since its my first one in the skipps. Infineon was a huge learning experience, VIR turned out to be fun even though its a tricky track, Summit was a disaster , Lime rock was so so and Brands went well for me with very few incidents. However this week at Sebring will be hard, I've only turned a few laps here in the skip and am WAY off the pace (i need 2:27/8s, but can't get under 2:32s), i don't know the track at all and to make matters worse, my week is getting super busy with work building up, going away for business on friday thru monday so the weekend is out too...
