iRacing News - V8 Supercars @ Infineon

June 23, 2010 ... SONOMA, USA (CMS) - Riding the momentum of three consecutive starts
from pole, Charles Stout joined a select group of drivers with multiple victories, leading
flag-to-flag from the point to dominate at Infineon. Stout earned his fourth overall pole
of the season, edging out second place finisher, Troy Dalton, by a mere .054 of a second.

(L to R ) Charles Stout, Troy Dalton, and Steven Clark enter turn two in the early going.

When the lights went out, Stout held off Dalton and Steven Clark into turn one and quickly
put a 1.2 second gap on a hard charging Dalton. By the mid-point of the race, the gap had
not changed much and remained fairly steady throughout much of race. However, as the race
neared the final laps, Dalton was unable to match Stout's pace and Stout eventually went on
to a comfortable 2.4 second victory. The win was Stout's second of the season and he now
trails Dalton by only three points in the Championship standings.

Thanks to all the competitors that took part and we look forward to seeing everyone next
week when the series heads to Mosport for the penultimate race of the season.
