The courts at VOR are handing out blend line violations....seems like it could be quite a few too....

The only time I even came close to crossing it was just getting out of a V8's way who was trying to pass me, so I don't even think I did cross it, but if I did, it was "extenuating circumstances" (I knew that "pre-law" degree would come in handy one day). lol

While I don't think we'll get one, I know I saw several guys cross the line throughout the race...especially Chuck Penfield, and he's the first guy to post that he received 8 emails regarding violations....and Larry Ford just posted the following:

Chuck the court reviewed the entire replay and noted all violations of the blend line. Of course there was a lot of discussion about the blend line prior to the race and with plenty of notice a rule was established stating you could not cross the blend line prior to the start finish line.

If you feel that some of the violations you were involved were done for reasons of safety of warp educed or otherwise justified you are welcome to provide a statement or other evidence (pictures replay clips or other) to me or other VORA personnel toward an appeal process. I hate to be the one to bring the bad news but certainly in many cases championship points will be at stake and compounded for multiple violations.

Two-wheel offenses:
1st offense = -1 point
2nd offense = -2 points
3rd offense = -3 points
4th offense = -6 points
5th offense = -12 points
6th offense = DQ

Four-wheel offenses:
1st offense = -5 points
2nd offense = -10 points
3rd offense = -15 points
4th offense = DQ

If Chuck crossed that line 8 times, he receives a big DQ....more like a big D.A. (not David Anderson!)

I'm betting that the majority of penalties will be the V8's...but you never know who in the PCC's might get one.

So far, no emails for me....and I don't think I was ever close to crossing, but I'm like you John, I might have moved over to get out of someone's way and done it without knowing. Hopefully we're all in the clear!
