Default So, I found my rFactor CD….

I haven’t touch rFactor since I got hooked up with iRacing. I installed it last night on my Windows 7 Ultimate and it’s much different from what I remembered.

Okay, I have two questions – is there any patch(es) I should be aware?

I have problem with my wheel on rFactor which it seems that it’s not very responsive. I remember that I set my G25 to 900 degree rotation for iRacing and I assume that rFactor do not support 900 degree just like NR2003. Can anyone help me with recommendation setting without mess up with my iRacing setting?

    Thanks in advance.

    Question for G25/G27 rFactor Racers

are you interested in running in the CMS ILMS Series or Fun Series or even Driver Development Program -- ?

    Thanks, David!

I wonder if the Logitech Profile allow us to keep the setting separate on each game...

I have not decide on what to do with rFactor, yet. I will have to play with rFactor for little while and see how I feel. I really wanted to focus 100% on iRacing.

rFactor definitely supports 900 degree rotation on wheels.

I do think you have to open your controller.ini file in rFactor though and edit the degrees of rotation to support what you have it set to if beyond 270 -- right?

Yup, thats exactly what I do. Whatever you have set in the profiler or game control panel, put that number in the controller file. I think default is 240 (can probably just do a ctrl-F "240" to find the line if you haven't found it already).

Set it what number? It seems it's not working well. The vehicle won't turn till I steer to 3 o'clock or 7 o'clock for 90° turn.

    In Controller.ini there is this:

Steering Wheel Range="900" // Degrees of rotation of in-game steering wheel

And then if you save a controller preset, you can also edit that file (UserData/Controllers/xxxx.ini) with a similar line:

Steering Wheel Range="900" // Degrees of rotation of in-game steering wheel

My understanding is that all that does though is change the on-screen representation of the steering wheel to match the motion of your wheel. I just assumed that your wheel's driver software is what controls the 900 degree range of motion of the device in-game.

But I definitely have full 900 degree rotation in my rFactor with my wheel.

Ugh, I'm already struggle to get it fixed for an hour. I'm going to put it on hold for a while - so I can focus on study and iRacing.

Thanks guys for helping me out, I really appreciated it.
