Sounds like you need to make a new install of lite. I know, it's a pain, but it may be your only hope. I had the same thing a few weeks ago. One day it works perfect, the next day I get the "rF2 stop working..windows is finding a solution" nonsense.

I even made a new install yesterday to put the new URD mod in. I wasn't going to take any chances. It paid off I think. RF2 is running better than ever.

Yep it is a much faster install, plus I hardly use any ISI content and lite doesn't have much in it. The only ISI content I use is the tracks we use here.

Well, I did a fresh and clean Lite install and it didn't work...
I'm still having that "rF2 stopped working...etc..." CTD message once in a while...
I have 2 rF2 instances, and both are giving me this issue...
Does anyone knows what may be the REAL cause of that???

I wish I knew Luiz. I have 2 install also. One for my main racing and the other for testing new tracks, cars and add-ons. Both work perfect. No CTD's.

Luiz, from the description of your problem that you have given the first 2 things I would be:
    - turn off or lower "User Account Control" in windows
    - get a good memory tester and run it, may have a bad memory module
It sounds like your rF2 installs are fine and you have a system problem (or conflict somewhere).

Just winging it here, I know you have been working on this a while now.

I read somewhere that the 32bit version of rfactor that's currently out crashes after reaching four gigs of memory usage. The 64 bit that's coming should fix that.

Luiz, what are your graphics settings? As if it is running out of memory address space, lower texture detail should improve it. Even just 1 click lower typically entails 1/4 the texture memory usage. I have this on 'high' myself, get a few CTDs at times, but not necessarily when we have a large grid.

    Thanks folks!
Graphics settings are LOW, April...except for Track Details, on High...
Strange is that for the pics I grab from the replay I use all setting MAX and have no problems at all...
I tweaked again some settings in the NVIDIA control panel...
    Let's see how it'll work...
