Default rFactor 2 and Endurance Racing

I was reading through some old developer posts at the ISI forum and they mentioned that there would be multi-class Endurance racing in the packaged version. That sounds great, but I wonder if they're going to be real cars...also, there seems to be some question on whether or not driver swaps will be in the released version. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Corvette C6.R (GT1) and Nissan GT-R are already confirmed! But there won't be any LMPs for sure. But ISI-standardcontent has never been really good in the past.

Better to wait a few months more for a real endurance-mod for rF2.

Well, it's a start at least. I suppose you can throw the Panoz in as a GT2. I wonder why the C6R is a GT1?

Jepp I forgot the Panoz, in fact both the Esperante GTLM and the GTR-1 will be in the game - and also a smaller GT Version of the Nissan 370Z, which might be somewhat of an ISI-Fantasy GT3 car.

As far as I remember the GT2 version wasn't even existing in reallife when the first screenshots including a racing-Corvette were released . But ISIs model is not very accurate so it could be easily changed into a GT2 car, as the modelling is not very definitive, wheels are out of place (same with the Nissan GT-R) etc.

Half right. The Corvette is the GT2 version, not the GT1. The GT1 car was based off of the Z06, while the GT2 car is based off of the ZR1. When the showed the first Corvette pictures in Nov, 2010, a side shot clear shows the sidebody work of the GT2 car. The hood itself is from the GT2 car, not the GT1. I havent found anything saying its the GT1 car, so unless they built the GT1 car with perfect GT2 bodywork, its going to run against the Panoz

The VLMS group (Virtual Le Mans Series) that runs the ERL series is prepared to start converting their current mod as soon as rFactor2 is released. So hopefully we wont have to wait too long

The first screenshots of the Vette showed the car with the LeMans GT1 skin they used back in the days, but you are right it is a GT2 body. Maybe they just got it wrong, obviously at ISI there are some people not using their brain very much :X. On the other hand the 3D-Models all are crappy in their own way, completely wrong wheelbase on every single car and a lot of bodywork details missing on those with real-counterparts (the F1 cars are all fictional and not based on any real car)

Other example are the new HDR shots, which are exactly the opposite of HDR... in terms of reality and real photography rF1 was all the way HDR, rF2 looks like real life photos without HDR .

As my english sucks on explaining it, I guess, so that picture makes it even more clear:

For sure everybody is exited about how different rF2 looks like with that new feature of HDR, but honestly, it is completely unrealistic in terms of graphics... I'm getting disappointed with rF2 day by day... we just can hope for good physics, the rest doesn't seem to be any better (without those "shiny" new effects rF2 even loos EXACTLY the same as rF1, so it isn't even a new engine)

I haven't been overly impressed by the rF2 screenshots since day one, but it's not a deal breaker for me. If it looks exactly like the current version of rF, I'm fine with that. Hell, I still run DX7 and everything on medium/high, despite having a card that can do so much more.

I saw few "HDR" pictures of rFactor 2 in iRacing forum - it laughed my butt off because they used HDR in wrong way. Well, they seems they don't know how to modify HDR.

Baccck to subject. It would be interesting to see if they're going to have driver swap - it would be heck of fun!

Surely it will have driver swap, it already works perfectly well with rF1 .
