    Default Pitstop help needed

ok...last night sucked for me...well kinda..it was fun but I could'nt keep up
First off I can't seem to setup the DBR9.
No matter what I do it feels like Dog Doo.
I can obviously setup a GTR2 car or a GTL car or even a PCC or Megane but not a DBR9.
Also I hate my painjob! it's ugly so I don't like driving it and I can't come up w/ anything better! LOL
    But anyway...on to last night.
Pitstop 1,I just barely swipe a wall and now I have to wait in the pits for repairs..39 extra seconds.
Pitstop 2 ,same thing...30 seconds worth of repairs arrrg!
Can I get them NOT to repair my car and if so how?
I cant seem to figure it out.
If anyone knows ...thanks in advance

I hope that someone has a solution to this Bob. There are times when the car is working fine but I spend time getting it fixed anyway, just because there is no way that I can see to turn off the repairs. Jim

yeah, I can't find any solution either
I finished 13th...but spent 69 extra seconds in the pits...If I had'nt spent all that extra time I prolly would have had a top 10 or better

There is a solution. If you toggle through your LCD menus to the pit stop menu...

...then scroll down, or up as it's shorter, you will see a window where you can decided if you want to, Repair Body...

    Repair All...

    or Do Not Repair.

This is a feature that is available for every car and class and you can do this is in exactly the same manner and using the same keys that you would use to increase or decrease the amount of fuel you take on or decide not to change tires. You can also increase or decrease your front or rear wing settings and/or increase or decrease your tire pressures. The only thing you can't repair is a blown engine. Also the nature of the damage determines how long the stop will be plus or minus and randomly server-selected few seconds. And lastly, the GTS car take a little longer to repair than LMP cars because for example, the GTS cars don't have one-piece front splitters that you can change out in a few seconds.

Cool, Thanks Mike. I had never tried to scroll down in that screen. I usually don't mess with that stuff at all or else I'm off into the boonies.

    Hi Bob,

I did start working on a setup for the DBR9. I couldn't get it to go quite as fast as my viper but I was only a second or less off my viper pace.

I found it understeers much more than the vette or the viper so you might need to trail brake more to keep the weight on the front end during turn in.

Do you use Motec? I have started to put together a page on using Motec to setup a car. The example project I list on the page is for the F1 79 cars, but I could also provide a link to my project file for the DBR9 if you want it.

    The description page is here.

If you find anything that is inaccurate, let me know so I can fix it. If I don't explain something clearly enough, let me know so I can fix it. I used this info to setup the F1 79 cars for a watkin's glenn race against DJ and Gary and the SSR guys. By the end of lap 8 I was in first 8 seconds up on Gary in second. I think he had too much camber but the point is that the information is at least accurate enough to produce a competitive setup.

    Hope that helps.
