Default Paint Guide from Nascar (Concepts Apply to rFactor)

David, as I promised you the other night, a paint guide that I had from the old Nascar days...

The site this guy had is still open, even though he retired from painting cars some time ago.

    http://www.ifreezn.com/ifreezn/index.html

But the attached file contains all kinds of tips using Paint Shop Pro, as well as layers and so forth.

Also, it's really important to not use pure colors. What I mean is using a red that's not full red, and instead use a color that's a little off red, a little darker, or a little lighter, but also a little more orange in it. You'll get the gist of it when you look at the second file I'm attaching that's a Paint Color Guide for Black and White.

The colors on the left side represent pure colors, the ones on the right are the ones you should use on your cars. It goes a long way towards making your car look more realistic...especially if it's mostly black or white.

And of course, if you have any questions, just let me know...I'll help as much as I can!

Yes Tim Thank you very much! Appreciate you sharing this. In fact I think we should copy this post to the main forums. I am going to do that.

Tim, the color chart is in a Paintshop Prop format. Can you convert it to a PNG, TIFF or high quality JPEG file?

    Thanks
