Thanks Tim! After we talked about that, I just never got the time to try to come up with song titles.
I DO get the days off that I requested. I'll be making the Monday night race.

That's really cool how you can add custom music.

Yep, just drop the mp3's in your rFactor/Music folder and it will randomly select them for the main menu music. If you don't like the one that comes with the sim by default, just move it somewhere else (a backup) and then you'll get only the songs you want.

Now...some mods, such as PCC, create their own music sub-folder and the mod directs the sim to play music from THAT folder...but the VOR mod doesn't do that and plays the default folder's content.

Paul, really glad to hear you'll make the race Monday....I think we'll have fun!!

Pretty cool Tim! Thanks for the info on that... It will just randomly play the songs in the folder? No limit on how many MP3s?

Hmmmm... When I rebuilt my computer, I didn't bother putting my second HD back in, but then remembered that's where my 3500 MP3s are. LOL, I guess I'll have to install that HD again, so I get some tunes into the game (not to mention just having my music back in general).

On a "not very related" note... You know the Dodge Charger commercials where they play a sampled remix version of "Hair of the Dog" by Nazareth?? I really like that version, and I was wondering if it was done directly for the Charger commercial, or if an artist actually released it somewhere, and then Dodge paid to use it? Anyone know who did the remix/sampled version? I'd love to get that...

OK, here's a thought... What songs do you have playing in rFactor, or what songs would you add in?

Tunes I'd put into the game... (so, I could turn the music back on... lol)

Dodge Charger Remix ("Hair of the Dog")
    "Fuel" by Metallica
    "Enter Sandman"
    "Loser" by 3 Doors Down
"Back in the Saddle Again" by Aerosmith
    "Bad Medicine" by Bon Jovi
    "Panama" by Van Halen
    "Unchained"

"Just Like You" by Three Days Grace
(PCC Driver Theme song perhaps... LOL Maybe "Duck and Run" too! hehe)

The remix of "Hair of the Dog" in the Charger commercials was done by a guy named Chris Classic (what a name)...the song is available at musicmatch.com once you subscribe to their service.

I happen to be a lifetime subscriber, so I'll check on it tonight....

As for my list of songs, seems I did this some time ago....now I'll have to remember:

"The Road I'm On" by 3 Doors Down
"Fly From The Inside" by Shinedown
    "Rockstar" by Nickelback
"I Am The Highway" by Audioslave (my favorite band atm)
"Be a Rockstar" by Cypress Hill
"Killing in the Name Of" by Rage Against The Machine (not for the weak at heart!)
"Show Me How To Live" by Audioslave
    "Back in Black" by AC/DC
"Man In The Box" by Alice In Chains (my favorite band of all time!)
"One by One" by Foo Fighters

I'm sure I had more than that, but those are my 10 for sure....

John, I have a version of Fuel by Metallica that was on the Nascar CD that came out about 3-4 years ago....and it starts with "Gentlemen, Start You Engines" and cars firing up, then someone on the throttle at Daytona and the spotter talking to them as the song fires up.

    I'll post it tonight....

Paul, are you more into 70's Classic Rock, 60's, Hendrix, The Who, P. Diddy...what's your medicine bud?
