    Default Monday Night

IS anyone up for running some practice tonight? Sorry I missed Saturday... didn't get home until nearly 10 PM.

Also, I saw a post on VOR saying the last race would be at 24 hr LeMans? We're replacing Spa?

Tim, have you run any PCC at LeMans? I think any race there is going to be a battle of who can lower the rear wing the most and keep it on the track. lol I ran several laps testing the wing settings, and lowered it to 6, and ran a 4:18 flat. I'm sure I could take a couple of seconds off that once I fully remember the course and don't have to think about what's coming next.

I tried it a couple of nothces lower as well, but 6 is the lowest I could go without redlining in 6th on the long straight... I redline just before the braking point at the first right/left chicane at 170+ mph.

The points race at Spa is next Monday. I believe that there is going to be a VOR practice race tonight at Spa. I plan on being there!

VOR Practice Race at Spa tonight.....

As for the points races, I'm confused thinking the Spa points race was going to be on July 10th, then the season-ender at LeMans on July 24th. But if it's on July 3rd, big deal to me, but some people may not be able to make it making a 4-day weekend out of the holiday. I asked the question, we'll see the answer.

Tim, I saw your post over at VOR as well... I think Spa is not until the 10th. That's what it says on the GPCOS site last time I looked, and I thought they had moved it back a week because many people will have plans over the 4th holiday.

I'll be there for the practice race tonight at VOR... How are you guys doing there? Any setups to try? Mine usual setup is fine at most of the track, but sucks at Eau Rouge, so I'm willing to try something else.

Running with a 9 rear wing (I think, maybe it's 11 for all the turns), I'm turning laps in the 2:27 range. That wicked bus stop is horrendous!!! David, when you get on this version of Spa tonight, it's the same as the one in GT Legends, so beware of the bus stop change!!!

I can go flat-out at Eau Rouge, but it was a matter of my finding the best line and not turning the wheel that much....I can post a hotlap replay for anyone that wants to see, but with the run-off area to the right we should be able to go flat-out, even if you slightly cross the curbing.

I tried laying the rear wing down some more to get better straightaway speed, but my laptimes didn't improve simply because the front tires get too damn hot with less rear wing. With the 11 wing setting (or 9, I'll post it tonight), the front and rear tires are about the same temp...which is still around 200, but the race will be 37 laps and I bet we'll run something like 32-33 in the Porsche, which means we better see if we can go 16-17 on a set of Michelins.
