I have been thinking about this for sometime, but have not known what or how to ask.

I am a huge fan of motorsports especially the ALMS. I am also a huge dork that loves playing with code. My question would be; is there a modding team that I could work with that would be willing to teach me some of the ins and outs of modding, in exchange for help on modes? I am no good at Art so skinning and modeling would be out, but as for the physics and potentially sound, I could possibly be helpful. If anyone has any idea of where to look I would be very appreciative.
