    Default iDT Champ Car Cockpit Mirror Problem - Any Ideas?

    I've been having a problem with my Champ Car install for rFactor. When I am in the cockpit I can't see any of the cars approaching me from behind in the mirror. I can hear them but I just see track. It's as if I am setting too low in the seat and all I see out of the mirrors in the car, are the upper ends of the retaining walls and sky. It would be like I am a midget in the cockpit or something

    However, I have my seat position adjusted high, and when I adjust it to MAX height I still get the problem. Is there a way to adjust the mirrors or something so that I an push them down to see the cars on the track behind me?

    I started looking around for how to do this, couldnt find anything. So I explored my Champ Car install and found the cockpit_info.ini file. Here is what it looks like -- would I need to adjust any of this?

    // iDT Lola B02/00 COCKPIT INFO
    //
    //
    ////////////////////////////// CAMERA AND GRAPHICAL EFFECTS ///////////////////////////////////////////
    Eyepoint=(0.000,0.65,-0.231000) // Driver eyepoint (cockpit view only) ( +LEFT/-RIGHT, +UP/-DOWN, -FORWARD/+BACK)
    CameraTarget=(0.000,0.500,0.000) // Base target for all other views (swingman, TV cockpit, tracksides, etc.)
    TVOffset=(0.000,0.000,0.000) // NEW additional offset for tv cockpit view (defaults to 0,0,0)
    MirrorPos=(0.000,0.850,-0.25) // Mirror position
    FrontWheelsInCockpit=1 // change to 0 for closed wheel cars
    CockpitVibrationMag=0.0025 // default is 0.006
    // Variables to control the helmet movement as seen from the outside
    HeadMaxPos=(0.015,0.015,0.015) // default is (0.06,0.02,0.02), first number is left-to-right movement with the head roll
    HeadMaxOri=(0.050,0.050,0.150) // default is (0.10,0.10,0.30), last number is head roll
    anyone else get this problem? I prefer to use cockpit view only, but last night at Edmonton I had to switch to chase cam a few times just so that I could see what was behind me. I dont have the problem in any other mods.

    'ole dopey me David...but can't you just adjust your mirrors with shft or cntl (which ever one it is) while using your seat adj keys?

    Hmmm. using shft with seat adjusting keys only changes the distance visually in my mirror, I cant tilt or angle them like in other mods. I should have known you already tried this. It seemed to obvious, which is why I started with "ole dopey me"...

    That was it -- Thanks Terry I didnt even know you could adjust the mirrors that way. I've never had to adjust them before. They always worked just fine in other mods.
