I need a tiny bit of help from a 3DO guy (rF2 Beta)
Maybe not so tiny...I really cannot remember, truth be told.
What I need are TWO physical dimensions (I think they will be in mm?) from any one of the 60's Formula cars. Perhaps the "Bob Swaggle" EVE F1, for example....
I need: 1) the exact dimension between any one pairing of these two points: Front TRACK WIDTH (taken from the centerlines of the front tires, as measured at the top center of the tire), or; The distance between the center of the mirrors (measured at the top center of the mirror surface plane itself), or; perhaps even the distance between the center of two top suspension pivot points. etc....
And: 2) the exact dimension between the drivers view eyepoint [aka "camera"] with the seat set at the default 0,0 position...and whatever line crosses the top of the "T"...used to measure one of those up above. In the case of the front dimension being something like 60" (which was front track width for the Lotus 49 as I recall), the other dimension might also be somewhere in the 60" range, I would think. And perhaps half that or less if the distance between the center of the mirrors is measured instead.
I'm HOPING someone might have been fiddling with the carbodies in a 3DO builder (like Zmodeler or Blender)...and that this isn't a difficult request. If it IS more involved, however, and someone could let me know in advance, then I will ask ISI by PM instead (I'm guessing they must have working drawings for at least one car somewhere, with known dimensions).
Reason: Trying to configure projector and cockpit for correct FOV and horizon line to get as precise a "lifesize" image as possible.
Thanks for any help
