I use the 1.51 version of the mod launcher and I like it. Some mods change the in-game screen and you can be stuck with it,or you have to switch mods then restart to get the correct background..but with the mod launcher each mod keeps its individual background. Also it has a controller selector as well as a FOV setting which saves for each individual mod so you dont have to bother going into the settings if you have a different FFB setting for different mods.
I havent upgraded to 2.0 mainly because the older version suits me, but havent heard too many complaints about the newest one.

In a way it reminded me of the PWF launcher for N2K3..keeps things a little cleaner and organized

    Bob,

"Looks like all the same stuff you can do after starting rfactor"

The problem starts when you have umpteen mods and bushels of tracks. rFactor loads every single file for every single mod, car and track at startup. This can lead to some serious lag times in rFactor initialization and startup.

For myself, I use your stripped rFactor and have separate instances for the mods I drive...
