Default 24 Hours of Le Mans - November 8th and 9th

Hey guys, I am looking for a couple more drivers who would be interested in helping out with driving in the SSCA 24 Hours of Le Mans in November. They have their own mod, so you might want to register over at SSCA and try the mod out before you commit. It takes a bit to get used to.

I drive for FletchTech Racing, http://www.fletchtech.com/index.php?...smf&Itemid=37&, we usually field 2 cars. Our #23 Aston is in the hunt for a top 3 finish for the season.

If your interested in helping out, or becoming a full time member, all we do is the enduro races, let me know. Just send me a pm.

Hope this doesnt step on any toes, definitely not trying to recruit drivers away from Champion, just need to put some butts in the drivers seat for this race.

    Thanks.

good luck to you guys. I hate that mod! I got used to the CMS mod, and it just blew their mod out of the water. the race seems fun, though. good luck. I hope things go well for you.

Sounds good Paul! We are more concerned with finishing these races than we are with being the fastest team, so it makes for a very relaxed team. I have really enjoyed driving the enduros with FletchTech.

I'd be glad to take any empty seat, but don't put me as a first priority driver if you already have all the guys you need. there is a real good chance i'll be available for it, but im probably not the best driver for the job. I do have some questions though. How many drivers per car, what car, and how long do you think stints will be?

We are intending to have 4 drivers per car, the car is the Aston Martin DBR9. We typically run 2 fuel runs per stint, but that is negotiable on the team. We do not lose time for swapping drivers so its not a big deal to run one fuel run and switch. So a double fuel run would typically be around 90 minutes, and a driver would expect to have 4 of those stints in a 24 hour race.

Being fast is not always the most important thing in these races, getting a car to the finish is. I would recommend, if you think your interested, getting registered at the SSCA site and downloading the most recent version of the mod and doing some practice. This mod is different from anything you will have driven before, the cars are a handful. Let me know once you have it and I will send you a setup that I used for Fuji, so you can try it out.

Alright i have the mod, i'll try it a bit while waiting for your setup

Update: I practiced for 10 laps on Fuji with your Fletchtech DBR9

This first thing i noticed...wow...steering lock feels like it is set to 5 degrees... I dont know, i actually didnt bother to change the stock setup other than to medium tires.

    But i did manage a 1:38:841.

I don't know how that compares, but again...stock setup. so it will be interesting to try yours out.

As soon as I can get my gaming rig set back up in the house I will shoot you that setup. Qual pace for the GT1 field at Fuji was in the 32's, with the pole going into the 31's as I recall. Race pace was typically 34's and 35's. I was a little off pace and ran 36's quite a bit. But the default setup is trash IMO, so a 38 is doing pretty good I would think.
