I didn't race last night because I was tired and felt I would be a hindrance to others. BUT after reading all the name calling and don't blame me or Can't we all just get along posts I truly wonder if VOR is where I want to be.Originally Posted by TimCollier

These races at Champion are every bit as intense and competitive but nowhere near as stressful as the ones art VOR. Is it simply the points? We have points on the 79 series but even there it is more pleasure than pain. I wish I knew the answer. Wesley pointed me to VOR because he was not going to be able to race this season due to school and I WILLINGLY stepped in and looked forward to some fun. It has CEASED to be fun!
Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now. Just needed to express my frustration with it all.

Mike, I'm kind of having the same feeling, unfortunately. I was slow and not good on this track, and with VOR races seemingly moving a bit more towards the "hell bent for leather" mode, I didn't want to be out there and screw anyone else up. I just watched 24 and spent some time with the wife.
Even the LMC races I'm not enjoying much, strictly because we got about 8-10 GTS cars, and 30 LMPs, so I just spend my night trying to stay out of the way, not really "racing", and that's not much fun either.
On the other hand, the 1979 mod races like tonight and the GTL on Thurs, and Formula BMWs ARE fun, and I have a blast, no matter if I finish 1st or last! That's what it's about.
Not to put all the blame on some of the new faces at VOR, because there are a few guys from last season that had similar mindsets, but some of the new guys have that "win at all costs, get out of my way assh**e" mindset a little too much for me to find enjoyable to race with.
