    Default So Manuel....

I tell you man I have been let down by some Mexican beers lately...

Modelo especial was on sale yesterday and picked up a 12-not that good
Had Negro modelo in the spring-didn't do it for me.

Wifey was drinkinf Corona this summer-nope, not quite there.

Despite my recent signature I haven't had Dos Equis in ages. Maybe I need to give it a go.

What do you recommend? Tecate any good?

I don't think you are going to like Tecate much, it is like a cheap version of Corona. But you never know!

My favorite Mexican beer is Dos Equis Amber, the brown bottle. Don't care much for the lager (green bottle). In the US it is normally served with a lime wedge, but I skip it myself.

Pacifico is my 2nd favorite, and my favorite lager.

    Habanero's I like...but they are $$$

I use ripe serrano's-and they are 95% as hot as a habanero. Serranos are good peppers. I buy a pound each week at the store...

Thanks aaaron. Never heard of pacifico-will check it out.

Now I'm stuck with 11 bottles of a so so beer-wish I had bout the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale-it was my first choice before I saw the price on the Modelo!!

Pacifico is really good, but is that a Mexican beer? Thought it was from somewhere else...

Tecate is like a Mexican Budweiser, pretty dull. Dos Equis and Does Equis Dark are great I think. I drank so much Dos Equis on a 5 day cruise I didn't drink it for awhile, but now that I had a break from it I really like it again. Negra Modela is very tasty, but watch out for that hangover the next day!

Recently I've been really digging oriental beers. Tsingtao, Singha, Asahi, Chang, Sapporo... really tasty stuff!

Aaron can I stop by for a beer after work? You nailed it. My two of very few favorites in the Mexican beer category in the very same order.

However, if you can find it, a Tecate out of the tap is superb.

Edit: For the trivia question of the day.... Anyone know how the lime in the Corona bottle originated? Be interesting to see what google digs up. I KNOW the real answer.

    Cheers boys
