The best WRC Rally of the year is coming !

Hi team, i thought it'd be a good idea to create this tread in advance

I have a little idea in mind : I'll try to tell a top WRC driver to say "Hi to POR" or something and record it in a video and share, so i make this poll to see who is CMS' favorite WRC driver and he's the one i'll try to get. I'll also do my best to give some POR decals to some drivers to they put them in their cars (a guy who drove a BMW in 2010 and 2011 did this and he actually got many drivers to put his decals in their cars! offcourse it'll be difficult, so for that i'll aim for local drivers) i don't promise i can get to them, but i think it'd be nice. Also i won't be here on the days of the Rally, but i'll post every picture and video here

Also we could use this to make the ussual Rally reports from Rallyesim.

What WRC driver would you like to see saying "Hello to Press on! Rallysport" ?

To get into the Rally 'feel' i'll start posting some things from the last edition of the Rally, 2011.

Rally story #1!! yeaaaah :

last year, my cousin was working in a TV company and he got to enter the service park and see the crews from very close, because Loeb had just won, he was not available for a small local interview but he got in and saw Loeb! OMG! he even touched Loeb's shoulder!!!!

OMG! he said he an one of those "manly" moments, his you know what got... a little hard hahahahaha, na' it was a nice Rally and a nice moment, we're not Loeb fanboys but that is a nice story to tell

After touching Loeb's shoulder he went to MWRT's place and saw Ken Block, he was alone so he said "can we interview you?" Ken said "yes" but it was before my cousin had said the first question that mr. Block changed his mind and told him to "go away" and pushed him (offcourse he didn't push him in an offensive way, just a "don't bother me" way) but nevertheless that's not the way to treat someone who you accepted to interview you, it's also important to note that my cousin was a teen at that time hehe, maybe that's why, but he's handsome lol.

Not that Loeb or the cars aren't visible from the spectators place, just that he got in the team's tent, same with Block.

Enough Rally Stories for now.

There's girls everywhere. But i think the Michelin girls are at the Powerstage. They'll be Mexican girls so i don't think they'll say that

I may be a part of the Rally, not as a spectator but as a marshall

here in México they have this "responsible spectator" programme wich is basically being a marshall but just with spectators so you get a free ride to the best places in the Rally and you get to see the drivers, Rally, etc. But you have to prevent drunk guys from getting in the way of the WRC cars.

also i heard they give you a nice vest that says "responsible spectator" the only problem is that you have to know a lot about Rallying, but that, i think won't be a problem. Because most people in México don't know much about Rally.
For sure if it's possible, i'd like to be part of the "staff" would be a nice experience

Nice videos Manuel!

You are so lucky to have the chance to spectate/marshal a WRC rally, seeing many WR cars among many other fast rally cars in the progress. I've only had the chance to see '06 and '08 (I think) Focus WRC live during a local rally, it was very different beast compared the rest of the field of N group and 2WD cars.

Being marshal, aka responsible spectator like you said, should give you an opportunity to see what goes behind the scenes and also it should be a different experience entirely than just being a spectator. Good marshals are always welcome in the rally scene.
