Default Ptolemaida Rally Sprint -I did it!

After procastinating for about a week or two, I woke up this AM, took about 15-20 minutes dialing in my wheel on the RBR rallyschool stage and Cote d'abroz and went for it on this rally...

Wow-it sure is a lot more fun to'ing and fro'ing with a wheel rather than in-out-in-out-in-out movements of the analog stick on a wingpad.

I had a couple of moments, and rolled it once on a bad cut-but definitely a positive first experience with my wheel on RBR.

Steve or Rick-you guys have a nifty dashboard that I see on your videos-how do I get that?

One issue I have with the brakes is I never know if they are being applied or not. With the wingpad I always heard tire squeal!

Fun kms ahead, I can tell.....

Good for you Animal. Cant imagine the game without a wheel but I never had anything different so....

What did you get? I forget. And dashboard?

I must not be awake yet or I am hypoxic.

Dashboard (digidash)-the instrument display you guys have on your RBR game. You have a lot more measured parameters (brake input, throttle input ect) than I do.

It is a Thrsutmaster Ferrari GT Challenge-decent little wheel-at least so far.

I just hope it will work well with rFcator also

Glad to hear it James! It can be a tough transition, even moving from one wheel to another. Just have to put up with the pain of re-learning how to drive and it is all worth it.

In a few weeks you'll be wondering why you waited so long.

Jumped in this one late in the day just for fun. Ha ha it was on the first stage. A smoothe 4:11. Second stage I got wide and massacred the car. Lost the brakes and heavy damage. So I said enough.

Good luck on this one guys.

This was my stable rally for the week.

    Class: N1
    Car: Skoda Fabia 1.4

    SS
    1 Prospect Ridge / Tarmac Mod / Good Conditions - 04:38.28
    2 Prospect Ridge / Tarmac Mod / Good Conditions - 04:48.12
    3 Prospect Ridge / Tarmac Mod / Good Conditions - 04:38.41

After a couple weeks of DNF's, I was eager to redeem myself. I've practiced this particular stage quite a few times and although I was going to wait until later in the week, my nervous energy got the best of me and I couldn't wait any longer. The first stage was my best, even though I felt like I was being a little careful. Still, a 4:38 was a personal best and I was ecstatic. I decided to push a little bit in the second stage and I was on a real flyer by the end of the second stage, but I hit a bump on the down hill portion and it completely upset the car. The car flipped, but landed on it's wheels and I was quickly going again. Luckily it didn't cost me too much time, probably 12-15 seconds. The crash really surprised me, because I'd never had a problem in that spot before, so on the third and final stage, I was a little careful through that same section. To my surprise I managed to finish within a couple hundredths of my personal best. It's early in the week, but I'm third in class and 69th overall.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with my performance.

    Results in the dropbox.
