Default PoR and CMSRT Week 7 Results

Alright, here they are. Probably the best combined week for the two teams this year. Both finished 10th in their respective leagues this week and both moved up a position in the standings for the year. PoR now sits in 13th in League 1 and CMSRT is 18th in League 2. For PoR, Manuel again led the scoring, taming his Group B 205 T16 for an impressive 14th overall in the opening ASAF event. Magnar continues to show speed in his S2000 FIAT, with a top 30 in this week's French Cup rally, and Matthew stood on the podium in class A7 in Madagascar. On top of that, we had a 100% finishing record for the week! Well done all!

CMSRT had an equally strong team performance, bouncing back from last week with Craig on top of the scoring chart. Alex Brown had a very successful CMSRT debut, cracking the century mark, and Andy had a very strong top 50 finish in Madagascar.

Both teams seem to be finding their footing as we get into the routine of the season. I hope everyone is enjoying the ride so far.

    PoR Week 7 Points Summary

    CMSRT Week 7 Points Summary

In other news, we held the inaugural event of the CMS Super Rally Series last week. We had a very good turnout in both classes, with Magnar taking the overall and S2000 win. I took the S1600 win thanks mainly to my advantage from having prepared the event. James will be rallymaster for the next round, which will take place the week of February 27. Our handicapping system will take effect in this rally, so it should get interesting! All CMS members are welcome to join us for the Super Rally Series. If you're not a member, please consider joining us!

Finally, I would like to welcome Alex Tomasiak, one of the founding members of PoR, back to the team. Good to see you again! It's been 2 years to the week since we started this adventure.

    Press on!

Alex T - you are on the list of post race checks for RS Winning, so be sure to send your files/replays. I guess the commissaires were impressed by your win in your first week back!

What?! Noooooooo. Hahaha, I forgot to save the first two stages' replays. Still hadn't got used to the task of saving the replays, especially since I've never had to send in my replays, and assumed unless I got in like the top 10 they would never bother. Woops. Anyone know who I should talk to to mention that I only have the replays for the last 2 stages and not the first two? Hopefully they're understanding. I was just driving in a slow little Escort haha.

Haha, I think you're going to get a yellow card for that! I think if you forget to save a replay you can post in the topic for that rally when it happens (i.e. before the results come out) and you're allowed a free pass at least once. In this case, you could post, but they'll probably still dish out a punishment. Can't hurt to try!

Thanks Steven, didn't realize they had a topic for each rally to post that kind of stuff in. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what they decide. I sent in the 2 replays I did remember to save.

Way to jump back in it with both feet Alex. Hopefully they will give you a break. Nice driving in the RWD, impressive!

Man, I'm a little disappointed. I thought my fifth in class would have provided me with more points, but I suppose it's a big jump from the goose eggs I've been laying!

Doh! Well you can try posting in the forum for the rally that you forgot to save your replays, but since it will be after the fact I bet you will still be penalized for it. Oh well, missing files is a lesser infraction I think. Just make sure you save them in case they check back up on ya!

That rally is a really low coefficient due to it being a very short, national rally. 68 points is not a bad result at all from it.

I'm sure you guys have noticed that I've only been doing WRC events for the POR, I go through so much practice and work for those events due to being on Manuels WRC team that I get burned out for a bit on rally. Then by the point I'd like to start up again another WRC event is in the works and needs practice.

So I know we are a bit more relaxed this year but I don't want to take up a spot on the team if just running WRC events isn't enough. I will run rallies here and there throughout the year other than WRC of course, but due to the WRC team probably not as much as I was before. Let me know what you guys think.
