Interesting, thanks for sharing Tom. I am interested to see what they come up with. I think it may be based on GMotor Engine, so that could mean it would be decent ... is anyone on their BETA program?

I really haven't paid much attention since the rfc hoopla, but there is some interesting stuff on their blog.
Morgan 3 wheeler
I just dl'd it today. (Beta)
I like it.
I am in a Lanser street car right now....at Mid-Ohio in a testig session. Very good so far.
Easy install.
Set up the my configuration and G25 and such.
Ya it's gmotor ISI style and very nice.
For being totally free it is excellent for sure.
Gonna try to go earn some points and maybe avoid having to "buy" the McClaren. hehe
more info soon..........

I have been a Member of SimRaceWay since 2009 and even beta tested back then when they start out. In this new version of SRW I been part of the closed beta testing , have tried and tested all the tracks , cars yet to come and be available to you. There are still some bugs and track glitches to work out but in all the mod is awesome for everyone from beginner to pro. The 'challenge' races is not like the previous mod with racing three separate tracks which I hope they will do again instead of racing the one track three times. You will need a decent videocard to race as I even still have frame rate issues when I have a major crash with my HD 6450 at full texture setting. You can find me as Doug Spinster there as well.
Maybe it would be interesting to have a Hotlap series here by posting our SRW times in a forum with threads set up for each event. Bragging rights like
Who are you? I'll look up your times and try to beat it
Have Fun!![]()
rF2 open beta delayed
Cool thanks for sharing the insight Doug. I downloaded simraceway last night and played with it for a while, and I was pretty impressed. It is rFactor at the core, but they have done some nice things with it and the base car that I was running had some nice feeling physics. I was impressed and plan to follow it's development for sure. I wander if it will always be sort of a ranking, public racing type feel or if you'd be able to do some private, password, league events with it's content?

For those interested, Simraceway was at Lime Rock Park last week laser scanning the track.
SO that will be totally awesome to have a track quality of something like in iRacing, but with the new layout/surface.
