Gran Turismo 5

Anyone planning on picking this up?

I think I am asking for a PS3 and this for Christmas this year.

I've been considering that as well...although if I get as PS3, David Anderson would probably never talk to me again!!

But then again, I barely have time for CMS....

I am sure David will understand as long as you buy Forza 4 when it comes out.

Ok Tim, you are totally going to crack up on this, but I myself bought a PS3 about a month ago! Yes it's true! But I did it for the Blue Ray Player and I am happy to go on record to say that I wish we had a Blue Ray in the XBOX -- but we don't!

So, go ahead and get one so you can play Gran Turismo, you have my blessing! and heck maybe we can even run together if it supports multiplayer - lol! The XBOX is still a much better overall game machine though!

That's pretty damned funny.

If Xbox would get G25/27 compatibility, it would be golden. I just really have NOT been impressed with the Fanatec wheel. Perhaps it is Forza's force feedback that is the culprit, but it just doesn't feel nearly as good as the sims I use with the G25.

yeah those are the 2 biggest things I wish for in the XBOX, G25/G27 support and the Blue Ray. I bought a G27 about 6 months ago and have really enjoyed it, -- a nice wheel for sure. I have never used the Fanatec. For the XBOX 360 games I use the Microsoft 360 FF Wheel. It's certainly more basic but with a few mods and adjustments it is pretty decent for my needs with Forza 3.

From what I heard that Fanatec wheel are easily overheated - some people had to keep the cover open in order to keep FF machine cool.

Xbox 360 steering wheel is great with FF enabled games, but too plastic for hard racing - which can easily crack a plastic gears inside. I've bought 360 steering wheel three times. *shaking head* I really hate 360's pedals because it's so light and easy to displace when you hit brake.

I’m still happy with my G25 and I’ve had it for about 3 years. I’ve upgraded it with 13” steering wheel with longer paddle (you can get it at http://chilicoke.com/).

I don’t have PS3, but when’s GT5 release?
