Well at least I did a full race in practice laps.

I had a fast car and managed a PB during qualifying. I was stunded that I was in 2nd place. In the dying minutes Don threw one down and I started third.

Was trying to hold on to Bob but could see he was going to make a gap on me. I didn't see the accident but I think he tangled with Joe out of T1. And as I came out of the corner I had to swerve to avoid Joe's car. That ended with me slaming into the back of Bob. So sorry Bob. I was real looking forward to chasing you.

I tried to make it back to the pits but went straight into the wall on entry to Moss. That ended in flames. Night over.

Really disapointing to be this quick on my home track and end the night not only for me but for a fellow competitor in the opening stages of the race.

    WTF.
Running 4th behind Gunny, working thru traffic, having a ball.
Engine Blows!! It wasnt even CLOSE to HOT.
What the hell did you guys do????
    Totally sux.
Other than that it was fun.

Seriously though. The only thing I can see from the replay is I downshifted with too high revs going into the double rights on the back side. For a second or 2 I am about 1100 rpm over the limter. I cant beleive that did it...14 laps in? I ran dozens of laps (well more than 14 at a time and never blew. I demand an inquest! or a Sea Quest...hell call Johnny Quest...I'm bummed.

I have to say sorry to Tom C. Tom was coming up on somebody in T1 after having just passed another GT2 car. I was getting by the GT2 car on the outside and all of a sudden the closing rate between Tom's car and my car was unreal. I slammed on the brakes and then slammed into the back of Tom's car. When the smoke cleared I could see that he had to brake on the apex of the corner for the other GT1 car. I am very sorry for not being able to stop in time Tom.

The other appology is to Joe Owen for slamming into you in the early laps. I guess you were limping back to the pits or something but as I came up to the second last corner I just didn't realize how slow you were going in the middle of the track. I slammed on the brakes and slide right into. I am sorry about that.

Anyway, the race was all about limping a very damaged car around the track. It finally ended when I was trying not to interfere with P1 in GT2. I had stayed behind David Anderson as he was running P2 in GT2 until we hit the straight. I powered by him but couldn't catch Bob in P1 so I hung back. I was going to run the rest of the lap behind him until I could power by on the straight again. But I hit the damn rumble strip on the inside of the last turn. Then I speared the pit entrance wall. It was game over.

My HUGE apologies to Scott Bennett and ESPECIALLY Mr. Collier. i got to the grid and was a little past, went to back up and the car went forward and bumped Scott and then I proceeded to back up and ram poor Tim at least twice with full throttle on.

I had put in a completely new install of rFactor, and the shifting optioon for finding neutral was different, I kep trying the old method and kept getting gears while trying to hurry to get in the grid box. What a stupid!

Had a fun time until I looped it onto the front straight and then someone came and blasted me and sort of destroyed the car, not their fault, but I was backwards along the inside wall.

Spent all week messing with my settings trying to get rid of frame stutters through 5a and 5b.
Saw I was going to Q in about last in my class, decided to not Q.
Timer starts...and after I read most of a book and ate a 4 course meal the line moved
Took my time through the lower class cars, bumped Paul R. off in T1 (but in my defence I laid down about 40 miles of skid marks trying to NOT hit you, sorry Paul), passed Joe O. and Jim B. about a gazillion times and worked my way up to maybe 5th before guys started pitting. Decided to only get fuel on my stop when my gas sign came on, went in pits in 2nd place! Crew put 6 seconds of fuel in and I came out in 2nd place!!! Could see Don F. in my mirrors and decided it was time to go...and I went. DISCO! Crap.
    Did Kevin win?

Just want to mention that everyone was very good about allowing me to pass. I WILL wait until a good spot, I saw a handful of guys let me pass then go off track. Run your line if it looks like a bad passing spot is ahead, I'll pass you in a better spot, don't ruin your race for me please I know some guys push passes when they shouldn't, I'm not one of them, the ones who drive like you're in their way usually don't finish races and get a reputation, as far as I've seen none of them run in this league or really in any of the leagues I run.

    Bob

p.s., Don, I was not going to make it easy on you but I'm positive you would have got by me regardless

Also I just wanted to say that I thought we did much better on the start tonight as a group -- from the perspective I was at. The first lap seemed much cleaner than previous weeks and I wanted to thank everyone for their work on that ... it's an important item and it helps a lot when we get off to a better start ... I have to think some of the server optimizations we made this week too were a good thing.
