(Concord, NC) VOR (Virtual Online Racing) and CMS (Champion Motorsports) today are unveiling a new series the ILMS Endurance Racing Series. This series will be a joint effort funded, staffed, and driven by both racing leagues. This series will be replacing both leagues individual Endurance series.
Here are the details:
- Races will be held approximately once a month on Saturday nights.
- Races will start approximately 8:00pm EST
- Races will vary, generally 4-6 hours in length.
- We anticipate using 2 classes of cars LMP2 and GT1. However, if we get enough participation (more than 25 cars), we may increase this to 3 classes
- Car choice will be determined by each team.
- There will be a new forum used just for the Endurance Series
- All drivers are welcome to participate and new drivers are welcome (you do not need to be a member of CMS or VOR to participate)
- We will issue a new release of the mod to be used exclusively for this series. It will have its own RFM and Skins package. We strongly recommend all participants create a new instance of rFactor strictly for this mod as it will cause conflicts with existing VOR and CMS versions.
- Tire wear, fuel consumption, and damage will all be set at 100%
- This will be a 10 race series.
- This is a team event and points will be scored only for the team (car). There will be no individual driver points. There will be 2 points championships LMP2 and GT1.
- The full official schedule and track list will be announced shortly, but will include Sebring, Mondello, Brianza, Watkins Glen, Spa, Old Ring, Road Atlanta, and LeMans.
- The season will be kicking off on 5/31 with the 6 Hours of Sebring.
- The new website and forum is running and will be updated with more relevant information soon.
More details will be announced shortly.
