Default HELP! Wheel and pedals act differently on and off line

I was trying to practice today in an off-line race and my wheel and pedals behave totally differently on-line vs off-line. Steering lock screwed up, shifter loses map, audio goes away. I reloaded controller setup and still feels VERY differently. Any Clues?? I NEED to be able to practice off-line yet still have controller act normally. HELP!!

EDIT: I deleted ALL but my default controller settings. STILL have problem.

    Mike,

To me, that sounds like some kind of hardware issue - either motherboard or power supply. I had power supply issues about 6 months ago, and it seemed my USB wasn't getting the voltage it needed. Caused all kinds of weird things to happen, to include my shifter losing map. If you have some kind of system status monitor, check your voltages over a period of time when the machine is stressed and see if they fluctuate maybe a little too much.

Whenever I've done a re-installation of rFactor the first thing I do is dump all of the default controller settings. Basically I create my personalized settings first, then I back out and relocated all of the other controller.ini files into a folder that I name, "Original Settings" This ensures that rFactor has one and only one controller.ini file to refer to. I started doing this after I got tired of always having to reload my controller settings after rFactor seemingly randomly applied some of the other settings. I've never had any problems since, other than something that basically require a complete re-installation of rFactor.
