Current Skin not showing.

Mike, after I left the server, I checked to see if I had the skin selected. Problem was I could'nt select it. Nothing happened when I did, it still just shos the old paint.
I opened the rfactor folder and went to my team car folder, and opened the main dds extra1 file, and it shows correct in the .dds veiwer, so the correct one is in there, but only the skin that should be an alt. shows for me.
I just removed the skins folder completely from my install, and it works fine now.

Are you sure it was that one? Or the one that has no purple on it...

I should have noted I meant Mike Tyler in above post, but no matter, you were there as well, its just that I mentioned it to Tyler while online last night.

I figured out the problem. After rechecking the files you submitted I noticed that you misnamed your veh file. All of the texture files for your car are named using the following naming convention; RPM151_EX257.* However you named your veh file, RPM151_LolaEX257.* The 'Lola' in the veh file name is creating problems because it doesn't match the naming convention of your texture files. As a result if or when you select the alternate skin it won't let you go back to your 'purple' skin because it can't find any textures named, RPM151_LolaEX257*.dds.

Sorry, I usually catch things like this, but I obviously missed this one. Since we have some new drivers coming in we'll have another add-on skin submission period soon, at which time I'll correct your files and include them with the next add-on skin pack.

BTW: Whatever you do don't try to fix it now. If you make any changes you'll end up with a mismatch.

Ok, Thanks Mike. I won't change anything, I did remove the skins folder last night however, and went back on the server to check. I got no mismatches, so I guess I'm ok.

In the future, when I use "Mike" I will be referring to the one that DOES NOT have a handle of "AUNT FLOPPY" at prisontalk.com
